So we met our guide Janelle after a great ride to a square in Bridge Town. Our driver was great, and was chatty. He had a nice clean van and it was cool inside. On arrival we were met by another guide she was very nice and said we were with second group. Our guide cam along just in time. So we started with a 15 minute talk on Barbados, saying about all the influences that made the island. Was informative but bit long. We set off same time as the second group so we were on the same route/ food tour so it would mean bumping into the other group and mobbing our hosts. The food was good, large amounts . I was surprised that the vendors let the guides do everything with no help. Water was provided, overall it was a good tour. Would I do it again.... Maybe
Paulette was AWESOME, tour was educational and delish! Saw thing with “local eyes” really worth it ! Highly recommended
Learning the history of Barbados and tasting the local cuisine. Tour guide Paulette made the experience amazing
Me encanto la experiencia de disfrutar la gastronomía de este país gracias al tour gracias por todo la pase súper bien espero compartir la experiencia con mis amigos para que visiten tambien
Paulette told us so much about the history of Barbados, led us around Bridgetown & fed us so much food (!) most of which we probably never would have tried on our own. She took us to little neighborhood businesses that most tourists would miss and gave us a chance to try many local favorite foods. We actually had more than we could eat! Be prepared to do some walking, but there are many stops along the way. We definitely enjoyed our day with Paulette.
Janelle was a fabulous guide through the downtown area. We received a great glimpse into the bajian life both gastronomically and historically and culturally. Fish cakes with pepper hot sauce were a definite favorite
This tour was a highlight of our honeymoon! We ended up being the only ones on the tour that day and got a private tour. Claudette was very knowledgeable about history and fun to tallk to! The food was delicious and unique to Barbados. The tour took us off the beaten track to local eateries. Not even getting caught in a dowpour could dampen our fun! Thank you Claudette for the memorable time!
Wonderful tour. We got to enjoy both the wonderful, rich history as well as food, right along with the locals, the best part. Paulette took wonderful care of us, truly! Would do it all over again. Chocolate ice cream made with coconut milk...a beautiful way to end this fun walking food tour!!
Great place to start your adventure. Get to know some of the local foods so you can experiment from there.
Our tour guide Paulette was awesome! The tour was packed full of tasty local cuisine tucked away around the old town and plenty of history of Barbados. Highly recommend!
