Meet your friendly guide at Arc de triomf and start your ghost night walking tour through mysterious Barcelona. Discover the Ribera Quarter, comprised of two separate districts: Sant Pere, inhabited by merchants, and Santa Mara del Mar, populated by sailors. Both districts were joined together during the 14th century to become the center of the new city.
Visit places featured in Sylvia Lagarda-Matas book Fantasmes de Barcelona, a collection of historical documents and the supernatural -- a spectral geography of the legends of Barcelona. Hear the mysterious and hair-raising stories and legends about events that have taken place in these areas of Barcelona.
Your experienced guide will lead you down Barcelona's backstreets and through the neighborhoods of Sant Pere, Santa Catarina and La ribera while telling you spooky tales about exorcisms, witchcrafts, bewitched convents and phantom apparitions that invade the streets of Barcelona, such as the ghost of Canaletes or the lady of Barceloneta.
Pass by some of Barcelonas architectural gems including the beautiful Church of Santa Maria del Mar, instantly recognizable by its octagonal towers and large, rose-shaped stained-glass window. After following a winding route through Barcelona's narrow streets, the tour will finish at Santa Maria del Mar Square.

We loved the tour. It was interesting to hear about Barcelona's past and see some of the not so frequented corners of this medieval city at night. The tour guide was also very friendly
-
It was a wonderful tour. Stories were very entertaining. Only thing that would have made it perfect would be if guide returned us to the point we started from (arc de truimf)
-
The tour guide was excellent and made the tour fun! We enjoyed the stories and sights. If you like to hear stories and see that side of a city this is the tour for you.
-
Very amazing tour. Highly recommend. You will see the city without feeling like a tourist.
-
This was more a history tour, not anything scary but a lot of interesting folk lore and legends. You do get to walk in real interesting sections of Barcelona that you would not ordinarily see and try to keep tract of where you are because it is fun to go back the next day and see all the small shops that are tucked along these narrow streets. Guide was excellant.
-
The tour was OK. I have to say that it was our last night at Barcelona 7 night total so we do know a bit of the place. Some story was very good. OK tour to do by night.
-
Guide needs to be better story teller, to create more drama and suspense.
-
It was good. I cannot say too scary especially at 7:30 the sun is still out for a bit. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and I like to see thee back areas of the gothic quarter of Barcelona and here some of the history of it. This is a nice tour to take while in Barcelona.
-
Fun night, but silly and not scary stories!
-
There should be an opportunity to stop for coffee or a bathroom break in the middle. It would also be more interesting to visit sites of allegedly paranormal activity that come from more recent times than the Middle Ages.
