Step inside Venices 19th-century St. George's church as evening falls, and take a seat before the performance begins. When the curtains rise, look on as the talented musicians of the resident orchestra Venetia Antiqua bring a modern twist to Italys traditional baroque music.

During the recital, hear pieces from renowned Italian composers such as Galuppi, Marcello, and Vivaldi performed by the orchestra using period instruments. Be wowed as the skilled musicians inject a little contemporary style into classic arrangements and cry with the soprano as she laments her lost love!

    Excellent orchestra and singer. Well chosen pieces, in an unpretentious environment Anglican church, not heavily decorated.
    It is a real pity that the audience was so thin. We got the feeling that this show was not adequately advertised there were very few posters around town for this one when there were hundreds of posters for another, similar, concert at another church -- which we went to.
    One thing to watch out: the Ba-ROCK you name might give you the wrong impression. This is Baroque music -- period.
