Know More about this tour

Bath, the gorgeous city of Bath was the first city in England to be designated an UNESCO World Heritage site. Standing on the banks of the picturesque River Avon, explore all the city has to offer, including the gorgeous 15th century Bath Abbey, the spectacular Georgian architecture and, modelled on Florence's Ponte Vecchio, the romantic Pulteney Bridge.

Roman Baths and Pump Rooms, a visit to the Roman Baths is an absolute must when visiting the city that is named after them. This beautiful and well-preserved bathing complex still flows with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Watch the twinkling torch–lighting ceremony as dusk falls (not applicable in summer) and have a taste of Bath’s healing waters in the Pump Room, a stunning neo–classical salon.

Lunch pack included

Mysterious Stonehenge, we may never get to discover the true meaning of the ancient, awe-inspiring structure of Stonehenge. Perhaps the stone circle was a temple for sun worship, a place for healing, a massive calendar or a sacred burial site? Marvel at the beauty and speculate about how our ancestors managed to transport these mighty stones and erect this amazing structure? Shrouded by mystery and magic, Stonehenge ill never fail to impress.

  • Enjoyed the tour. Spent the right amount of time at Stonehenge about 2 hours, and not enough time in Bath. Both places were wonderful and would highly recommend seeing both of them. If I were to do this over, I'd look to do a separate 1/2 day trip just to Bath. The driver was great and the tour guide added some nice background and bits of history to the tour.

  • If I went again, I would take train to Bath, stay overnight and get a side trip to Stonehenge. This is a LONG trip to/from, especially with London traffic. Directions at departure point are not existent, guide was okay, the 'box lunch' is given as you depart the bus in Bath 11am and you have to eat it on the walk. Group was too big for guide to effectively communicate with entire group, you might want to use individual headphones. Bath is certainly worth staying overnight.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • This is a very good example of Roman life in England. The history and centuries of re-purposing are explained and shown in the baths. More interesting for me as an engineer is the explanation of the way the baths were built and worked. Very interesting are the video displays which bring the experience to life.

  • Excellent trip to Bath and Stonehenge. Lots of time in Bath - although one could always use more in bath. Stonehenge was excellent also with lots of time to tour the site and the Exhibition center. Our guide was great - gave us detailed information on the way to and from the sites - not only about Bath and Stonehenge but also about the sites we saw on the road.

  • The bus driver was excellent, but I had difficulties understanding the tour guide. I am very hard of hearing set up front, but it made no difference, unlike the other two tours and guides I had.

  • Hotel pick up was early.
Once on the terminal you have to know which tour your in so its better to print this at HOME!! i had to to go to their office and was the last one to get on the bus!!
very informative on our way to both places!!
Got to our first stop like at 11Am stonehenge recommend to go straight to see it and then go to the visitors information center. Lunch pack was from subway Ok but no Protein on the sandwich. Bath is Beautiful very happy to have spend all afternoon there!! it was enough time to walk in town and see the roman baths. Also Credits to Saul our Guide He took all of us to see the Royal Crescent on an angle to take pictures!! just Breathtaking!!

  • So, unfortunately, booking through viator was a pain- I would first and foremost recommend just trying to find the company itself, because that gave us significant issues to start out with. Secondly, Golden Tours seemed rather disorganized and stingy: they advertise free wifi, but in reality it is limited and they don't tell you that until it's gone. Not that I need wifi, I would just like to know all the information beforehand. Which brings me to my next point: the trip could have been longer to accommodate more than one activity in Bath, but there was little to no description on that in the listing to help me make the decision. In the end I was able to make it work, but it just wasn't the same. Basically, I was looking for transportation to make the trip easier, and wanted a little more independence, but that really wasn't facilitated by the tour very well. So, I guess, just know what it is you want out of the experience to see if this is for you, and maybe make a few calls or emails to verify the plans as the website isn't very helpful, although another man told me that the tour didn't even stay true to what he was told over the phone anyways, so keep that in mind.

  • We were glad we didn't have to drive to these places, as the traffic was chaotic! Kudos to the bus driver and our guide for getting us through. I'm sorry I don't remember his name. We had a nice time in Bath and only wish we had more time to look around the town. After the walking tour and the tour of the Roman Baths, we only had time for lunch and then back to the bus. The Stonehenge portion of the tour was fine, with enough time to do everything we wished to do. We took some great pictures and have wonderful memories of our vacation in London.

  • Very good guide. Stonehenge was amazing and the highlight of the day. While Bath is a fascinating town, the Roman Baths were disappointing - there were so many people there that it was difficult to enjoy them.
