  • Worst tour I had in all of China.
Alice or Ally was the worst.
They take you to Tea Shops and Pearl factories for longer amounts of time than they do the Great Wall or Forbidden City. It is all a scam so they can make commission on you buying things at the shop.
They give you a 3 min wikipedia summary of the Wall and Forbidden City then they say Ok, you go up and I will wait in the car. Be back in an hour.

  • We had a different section of the wall already booked Mutainyu section on our main tour so I wasn't sure if I would be seeing the same again. But this section was different and worth seeing as well. The bob sled ride to the top and back was also a bit of fun as was expecting a ski lift type, it was great.

  • The Great Wall was nice but the Badging portion was VERY crowded. Friends of mine went on the same day and time to another portion and got better pictures.

  • The Great Wall and Ming Tombs were fantastic. The problem was with the guide, lunch and unexpected payment demand.

The guide, Mr. Lee was pushy and had a little bit of an attitude problem. Not the best combination for a guide to boast.

At the Great Wall, we were asked to shell out 100 Yuan each USD 16 each for the cable car. This was an unpleasant surprise, cos this was supposed to be an all expenses paid trip.

The lunch was sub standard - they took us to a porcelain factory, where free lunch is offered to tourist companies for bringing in tourists. As is true with most situations in such cases, lunch was not up to mark.

Overall - 3 areas for improvement. But I still feel it was worth doing.
