Our guide John was fantastic, and was part of Belfast history himself. He was extremely knowledgeable about both sides of the divide and gave an impartial viewpoint. It really was one of my best experiences and John catered it for myself and my son and was flexible in his route. It really is an absolute must if you are visiting Belfast. We would most definitely do it again. 5*
Thought this would have been a great impartial tour of Belfast. But unfortunately it came across one sided and tilted towards the Irish Republican side.
Our guide John was fantastic, truthful and informative. I would absolutely recommend it and don't leave Belfast without it. Extremely important history.
Hey, I went with my two American daughters, although I was born in Dublin. Sean our tour guide was exceptional. He patiently gave us the detailed history of Belfast. Although I was educated in Ireland, I learned a lot of new facts. It is great to see peace in Belfast and hopefully as time goes all the walls will come down. I would heavily recommend this unbiased tour and our your guide Sean.
Our family of 6 did a Murals tour with tour guide John on July 14th. Joe was communicative and helpful in planning the trip and John was right on time for the tour to pick us up at the exact place we agreed on. The tour with John was informative, engaging, and one of the best experiences our family had during our trip to Ireland. John didn't hold back on explaining the history of the Troubles and the specific events that occured around the Shankill and Falls Road areas. John actually spent about 2.5 hours with us and answered every single question we had, even if it was a tough thing to talk about. We left the tour having a much greater understanding and appreciation of the events in Ireland. Its pretty rare these days to get a history lesson from someone who lived it, but that is exactly the experience you'll get with the Belfast Murals Tour group. I cannot recommend this tour enough. It was a highlight of our vacation for sure and we look forward to visiting Belfast again.
A truly fabulous experience! John was a friendly and extremely knowledgeable guide. This tour far exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it!
John was very much an expert witness on the Troubles. He gave us so much first hand knowledge about the ongoing conflicts in Belfast. A comfortable and very informative tour. Thank you.
Astonishingly good tour given by someone who was articulate, knowledgeable, fair and passionate. Someone who lived through the troubles and saw them from the inside. Gave us a brilliant insight to what went on and gave us almost twice the time we had paid for. Totally memorable.
As a Tour Director I took a group of 34 American students through Belfast with a guide from Belfast Mural Tours. Our guide Mark gave a very balanced and interesting presentation on The Troubles. My group were talking about it for days afterwards. Thoroughly recommend.
Excellent experience, Thomas was very informative, insightful and realistic about the place he grew up in and explained the background of the recent ‘troubles’ and the co-existence of the community today, extremely well. Highly recommend this to anybody who wants to understand more about the culture, history and identity of the area. Fascinating to hear first hand. Do it.
