Best decision we made booking this tour for our first full day. We chose to do the 6 hour tour to get as much out of it as possible. Thor was our guide and he was so knowledgable and kept it interesting and fun. By doing this tour we had a better grasp of the different areas and how best to spend the rest of our trip.
-
Simon, our guide gave us a very good historical perspective of Berlin and recommendations for other places to visit not on the bike tour.

What an excellent day. Riding around Berlin with our tour guide Thor. He was a very chatty, knowledgeable, friendly, guy. The ride was easy considering we were out 6 hours. There were regular stops at Berlin’s most impressive locations. The pace was exactly spot on. Thanks Thor for making the day so interesting and enjoyable. I must not forget the team that greeted us on arrival. They explained where to wait who our guide was and the facilities at base location. We are positive we will definitely do this tour again.

Franca’s incredibly knowledgeable about Berlin's history, culture😍 It was mind-blowing to hear all the fascinating stories Franca shared during the tour. Franca really knows how to make history come alive! 🏰🌆 But that's not all! 🤣 Franca had us laughing throughout the entire tour. It made the experience so enjoyable and lighthearted. It's rare to find someone who can combine education and humor so effortlessly. 🎭🚴♀️ I highly recommend joining one of Franca's bike tours if you ever find yourself in Berlin. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! It's a fantastic way to explore the city, learn something new, and have a great time. 🌟

Fat Tire Tours is a company that runs English-language bike tours at 12 cities around Europe, and a couple in the U.S. They are not affiliated with Fat Tire Brewing in Fort Collins -- we asked. We had taken a comparable Fat Tire Tour in Paris a few years ago, so we confidently went with the same company. Unlike on Gilligan's Island, our tour was six hours long (10:00 - 4:00). Our goal on this bike tour was to get a sense of the city, to see the simple attractions, and to decide where to spend time over our stay in Berlin. Some people do this type of scouting using a hop-on-hop-off bus, but we enjoy the bike tours more. Our tour guide was Ceri (pronounced "Carrie", she is Welsh). There were 14 people in the tour: a couple from MN (us), a couple from Boston, a couple from Romania who now live in Belgium, a couple and two singles from Australia, and four US GI's from the Ramstein base. The tour was a blast. We went in a bit trepidatious given the length of the tour, but the time flew by. Ceri was a great guide: full of information and humor. We visited all of the standard locations with time to look around.

Took the tour as a solo traveler at the start of my visit to Berlin. Our guide Binta was very knowledgeable of the city and a well traveled person. She did a good job in shepherding us around and helping us learn about some of the key points in the city. Berlin is very easy to bike in. The tour went by pretty fast despite part of it raining on and off for half of it. Glad I did it and saw much more than I would have via a walking tour.

Perfect pace, entertaining and informative, not bored for a minute. Dania describes the places & history nicely, and not being native english speakers didn't bother us at all.
-
Wow! What a great day we had. Franco, our tour guard was exceptional. She had a wealth of knowledge and shared it well with us. She was very friendly and was always conscious of our safety.

Simon was courteous, patient, thorough, and very engaging with the group! We strongly recommend this excursion to anyone over the age of 15
