Know More about this tour

Head to the Sihlquai Bus Terminal near the Zurich train station in the morning to meet your guide who speaks English, Spanish and German and board your luxury coach. Relax on the scenic drive through the Bernese Oberland, touted as one of the most idyllic regions in Switzerland.
After a 2-hour drive, arrive in Interlaken in the heart of the Jungfraujoch region. Break here for a quick stop in this famous town, situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
Then, continue driving to the nearby village of Grindelwald. Board the cogwheel train here for a jaw-dropping ride to Kleine Scheidegg, a mountain pass located at the foot of Switzerlands most impressive Alpine panorama. Enjoy amazing views of the famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mnch and Jungfrau as you ride halfway up the mountain.
The top of the mountain reaches an astounding 11,750 feet (3,454 meters) above sea level. Ideal for those who are afraid of heights, this tour only takes you halfway up, to 6,762 feet (2,061 meters). But dont worry, this wont compromise the scenery; from Kleine Scheidegg, youll be treated to sweeping vistas of the Bernese Alps and unbeatable views of the famous Eiger North Face, featured in films such as The Eiger Sanction starring Clint Eastwood.
Youll have several hours of free time here to explore and take in the sensational Alpine environment. This area offers something for everyone: take a self-guided hike along the easily accessible Jungfrau Eiger Walk (several seasonal trails of moderate difficulty open late June to October); snap photos of the rock and ice masses of Eiger Glacier; or head to one of several local restaurants to enjoy some regional cuisine (own expense).
In the afternoon, meet your guide and board the train for the descent to Lauterbrunnen. Pass the holiday resort town of Wengen, known for events such as the Lauberhorn Races and Jungfrau Marathon. Then board the coach and return to Zurich in the evening.

  • I have to say this trip was beyond extraordinary. Our tour guides were highly knowledgeable and provided us with a lifetime experience. the great thing with this tour is that you actually have the option to change and do the top of the mountain but my friend and I decided to stay with this tour and I am hands down glad did I did. we were able to hike independently and experience the most amazing views. I would highly recommend this to anyone!!

  • We had an awesome day!! Besides the fact that mother nature was on our side and had a beautiful sunny day, our tour guides were amazing.

  • The driver was very competent informative and friendly. The coaches were clean and comfortable .a very affordable interesting tour

  • Great tour. Beautiful places covered. Very fun and informative tour guide.

  • We enjoyed a full day on this tour leaving out of Zurich. The bus ride was comfortable and the stops along the way were nice breaks before boarding a cog train to Kleine Scheidegg. Our guide was helpful but not overbearing. We opted to hike up 1000 meters and really enjoyed being in high altitude and cool temperatures. The train town was small but had a restaurant and gifts shops. While many others went to the top, we were glad after talking to others that we had the chance to hike and not just view the scenery. We really enjoyed our trip and it was worth the time and money. Great memory!

  • Its ok, though just a snowy mountain to explore. Thats it

  • We were VERY disappointed with the tour. In my opinion, if a tour operator 'Best of Switzerland' knows the weather condition in the mountain region, Kleine Scheidegg part of the tour MUST BE canceled. We were brought to the Kleine Scheidegg and left there for 4 hours for hiking, trekking, and other? activities. Because of the end of ski season, all chalets and hotels were closed until the hiking season. On the other hand, it was a heavy snowfall previous week, and no one bothered to snow removal on the passageways. Therefore it was no way to walk to the lake and observe the beautiful area surrounded by the mountains. So, we spent 4 hours on the train station greeting people coming and leaving the hub. Our tour guide Maria was not informative at all - she read everything from the paper in 2 languages and most of the tour she kept quiet. She seemed like a first-grade teacher on the field trip constantly counting people in the bus. Even though it was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoy stunning views from the platform, it was a total waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this tour at the end of the ski season we've done a lot of skiing in The Alps for many years and suggest taking a train and travel all by yourselves just to spend a day in the mountains to be more flexible or consider a different tour/activity.

  • The worst excursion I have ever had... :- the company Best of Switzerland should not sell this tour before summer and guides should do a better job explaining what you should expect in Kleine Scheidegg. I perfectly understand that nobody can predict weather and partly it is my own fault of not checking well enough beforehand. However, when I am told there is still snow, but hear a definite yes answer to the question about whether there are paths to walk, a knee-high snow and no visibility of walking paths whatsoever is not what I expect! 4 hours on the bus and 4 hours locked in a small restaurant on the Kleine Scheidegg station - definitely not what I was looking forward to. If guides told me there is no way of walking there, I would have paid the difference and went all the way to the top of Jungfraujoch. Very bad experience, although it should be all different during the summer.

  • The communication of travel time was a disappointment and we were informed that the start time was 8:30am and the bus left at 8:00am. We reached reached the designated bus pick-up point by 8:15am.
However, to make up our travel company put us on another tour operators bus and we had to pay additional 50 euro each and we joined our group at interlaken. The experience from interlaken to Bernese Oberland and junfroujoch was good with beautiful scenery and the majestic alps in the backdrop but we feel the extra charge was like a ransom as did not have any other option since we were short of time. In future, we expect better customer service in case of a communication lapse. Best of Switzerland were the only operator who did not call a day in advance to confirm departure timings. Globally, We have had a great experience with travel companies associated with Viator

  • This trip was a waste of time and money. Unless you go up to the top of Jungfraujoch different tour, the visit halfway up the mountain to Kleine Scheidegg is not worth it. There is nothing to do at the half way point unless you plan on sking. It is a visit to a ski resort where there is a restaurant and gift shop and told us to find something to do for 4.5 hours!! The trip was very unorganized as there was three/four different groups in different locations and everything was confusing. We went down the mountain early as we were cold and got lost and the bus left us. We had to self navigate trains 3 hours back to Zurich on our own dime. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, GO TO TITLIS TOUR!
