If you really wanna get out of the city, this is the day tour that you would like. Hotel pick-up would be a plus to this tour and our tour guide, Xavi, explains everything enthusiastically on the way to different locations. He describes things we see with his interesting way, we really appreciate his enthusiasm to explain us in English. We did have great time totally! Thanks for his friendliness and thoughtfulness during the day tour. A little advice, if you wanna visit Vic with its shopping booths open at the square, the busy side of the town, please try not to choose Sunday. Conversely, it provides us quiet environment so that Xavi can slowly walk around this place with us.

We really enjoyed seeing the medieval towns. My son is learning Spanish and in his 4th year of studying it. Our guide was very patient and listened to him when he spoke in Spanish and encouraged him to speak in the language. My son felt in just one day he was able to improve his language vocabulary and fluency.

This trip was AMAZING! Miquel Was our guid and I highly highly recommend it! We did so much in one day. There were so many scenic sights along the way there and the actual locations were like something out of a fairy tail. Miquel was so fun and full of energy he truly loves his job. And I will agree with his wife about his driving (just kidding! 😜) sorta. He speaks English as well. The restaurant we ate at was so good. They have an English menu as well as other languages. I recommend the goat cheese salad and the veal steak. It’s so good! Over all and excellent way to spend your day! You will not regret it

We had a fantastic time with Miguel. We stopped at 3 medieval villages and fished off the trip at a beautiful Mediterranean beach. His driving was great?

5 star all the way!!!! We had the most amazing medieval tour with Miquel (Mike) . I can honestly say he made this tour amazing, he is fun, funny, lively and truly balances the tour so that everyone is happy. We are a family of four with a 12 and 14 years old the children LOVED it! Below is a list of everything we did. I also need to mention the Resturant Mike reserved for us was perfect, by far my favorite resturant (can Joan). Santa Pau Castellfollit de la Roca Besalu Peratallada Calella de Palafrugell

The sites that we visited were breathtaking. Our tour guide Gaspar has and encyclopaedic knowledge of the history and geology of the region. His great sense of humour made it a wonderful experience for us.

In Out Barcelona Tours runs this and I have really mixed feelings. It’s honestly a well-organized trip, with a short tour in Vic plus wandering around time, and wandering time in the other places. Very cool places to see, nice to get out of the city to some comparatively quieter and definitely cooler surroundings, and while it is a long day, the driving and walking portions are well broken up so just when you’re tired of the view from the road, you have somewhere new to explore. So, 3 stars for locations, timing, and the van was pretty comfortable too. But I have to dock 2 stars for In Out Barcelona Tours’ misleading detail: when I booked this tour, I was specifically given the option of English or Spanish language. Great, because sadly the last time I practiced my Spanish was that one year in high school 25 years ago. My tour guide, bless his heart, he tried so hard to make me feel included and give me a good tour. I don’t blame him at all for the company assigning him an English speaking traveler in his group, but his face literally sank when he asked me if I spoke Spanish and I informed him I did not. I got maybe 1/20th of the history and explanations the others did, and I did my best to enjoy myself with what seemed like lovely people. As a solo traveler, this was an especially frustrating experience. Although the guide did his best, I feel I really missed out on a lot of the value of the trip, both learning about the history of the places we were visiting, and connecting with other travelers. So, I think your experience will depend on your tour guide and if your language skills are a match for theirs, because the tour company sure doesn’t seem to take it into account that someone might need the language they are promised in the booking. And it seems likely that either way the tour will be bilingual, so you’ll be hearing everything twice if the group is mixed. Sigh.
