On our way home from an Ecological Trip in Patagonia, our college group had two free days in Buenos Aires. Clemencia provided us an excellent city tour. We discussed the itinerary ahead of time, and she built the tour around what we wanted to see. Clemencia interacted well with students and answered all of their questions. It was a very enjoyable and culturally enriching experience for everyone. Also, Clemencia organized an asado (Argentine barbeque) on a terrace for the night after our city tour. The food was marvelous, and the explanations of the process of preparing the asado, its history, and cultural importance were excellent.

Down load the pdf. You can follow the local tour guide or just go on you own. Public transportation easy to use. Bus and subways. The young folk on the street Eagar to help, you need to buy a bus transit card about $1.00 at a tobacco stand like on Florida street.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and there was just the two of us he took on the walk. The walk lasted approximately 2 or so hours but in that time we picked up a lot of useful information.

The walk with a very knowledgeable guide was the most memorable part of our 4 day stay in Buenos Aires. His English was impeccable and presentation perfect.

Our guide Carlos, led us through the key parts of the city, relating in depth knowledge of just about everything we passed. He also gave us in depth insights to Argentina's formation, history, and economics. So good we went on the afternoon tour around the cemetery.

Our tour was indeed a delightful mini introduction of several key Buenos Aires (BA) landmarks, events, and historical individuals. Our tour guide, (a very knowledgeable, educated, and delightful gentleman with an excellent command of English) Carlos, provided some fantastic insights into some of the most colorful characters of early Argentinian history. This tour is designed for folks who'd enjoy a leisurely stroll for 2+ hours of local sightseeing. The tour started in the Florida street shopping district (a mile-long pedestrian mall in the heart of BA) and ended at the Recoleta square where the Recoleta cemetery is located. That's the cemetery where Evita Peron was buried. There we had a wonderful few extra moments with our guide over a lunch meal. Highly recommended if you want an abbreviated and succinct tour of the city's highlights.

This ended up a private tour as just the two of us took it. We met at a cafe and the guide introduced himself and we were off at cracking pace. The tour included the historical area of BA with lots of. Information about the buildings we saw. The tour is about 2 1/2 hrs of solid walking. The final stop was Recolata but did not include the cemetery. My only complaint was that we were left there to find our way back to our hotel, anther hours walk.
