around 2:30 p.m., we will make our way to the Hanging Bridges to walk along a trail through the rainforest and across bridges high above the treetops, to observe plants and animals from a different perspective. The 3.1 km (2 mi.) circuit trail includes 15 impressive hanging and stationary bridges.

For this trip we were picked up around 10.30 from our hotel and went straight to the volcano hike. We were lucky with the weather and managed to get a great view of the volcano and our guide was lovely. Two other couples were on this tour with us and one had asthma so we made sure we took it slow. To be honest the rest of us were happy to do it slow. After the volcano there was fresh fruit waiting for us all laid out at the bottom which was a great touch. After here we went to the waterfall. Beautiful but be prepared to deal with a LOT of steps. Take water shoes with you as it’s a little rocky. The water is fresh so a far cry from the hot springs in the hotel 😂 After this we went for lunch I’m a nearby restaurant. Only a few options to pick from but I understand this is necessary as when they take big groups it would be difficult to navigate. Very happy we did it all in one day as it felt like a good trip.

We love the combo tour because we could pick which activities we wanted to do,. A lot of tours offer the hanging bridges, waterfall and the volcano hike. But we are older adults and the volcano hike would have been too much for us. So being able to pick which things we wanted to do was very helpful. It was a wonderful experience and Victor our guide was excellent. Also recommend using a guide. You most likely would not see any animals without them. I have a pretty good set of binoculars and even with those I couldn't find animals unless it was pointed out by the guide.

We had great weather and a fun tour guide. The trail is easy enough to do in sneakers, if that is all you packed. The trail could be muddy if it had been raining, but was in prime condition when we went. We didn't read well enough that we would be able to soak in the Ecotermales (hot springs). Towels are provided, but bring your suit! half of our party was prepared, the other half just soaked their feet.

Great way to see La Fortuna on a compressed schedule. Minor and Luis were AMAZING tour guides, super knowledgeable about everything we saw. Luis even stayed with my aunt who had knee trouble and walked with her up and down the stairs to the waterfall, so sweet. Lunch was also really good, with a great view of the volcano!!

This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I want to shout out our guide Antonio! He was absolutely amazing for the tour. Extremely knowledgeable about not only the history of La Fortuna and it’s natural surroundings but is an overall great to it guide. It was a long day but he took care of me and my s.o. Highly recommended!

Our guide was really great and knowledgeable. Overall trip was great, but being in rain forest it’s difficult to predict the weather.

This is one where a simple rating system breaks down. The high points were very high, and none of it was bad, but Ecoterra probably has better options than this tour. Our guide was fantastic - knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. She even administered well-done first aid when I had a mishap on the rocks at the base of the waterfall. The hanging bridge tour is not to be missed, as we saw a wonderful variety of wildlife. Lunch was great. The only downside to this particular tour is that the waterfall and volcano viewing hike are a little on the ho-hum side; you're probably better off just booking the hanging bridges and using your time elsewhere. One side note is that we had to delay our trip twice, once due to COVID in 2020 and once due to a death in the family in 2022. Of all the vendors we had to deal with to make those changes, Ecoterra was the most responsive and most professional in handling things.

We had an excellent time. Our guide, Gabriel, was very knowledgeable and you could tell enjoyed what he was doing. Lunch was better than expected! I would recommend.
