  • There were just the two of us on the tour with our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Riga, Latvia and their culture and history. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wanted to get the insiders view of the city.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Was real insight to Riga and its history. The architecture is stunning. We were really lucky with the weather for walking around.
Edite our guide was very knowledgable about the city and kindly took us into the market and gave us a few tempting things to try, the non alcoholic beer Kwass was strange but the rest was lovely.
This gave us a good understanding of the layout of the city for following later in the day and also the following day. I would highly recommend a few hours walking around to navigate yourselves.

  • We had a private tour for 6 with our guide, Harry. The walk was at our pace, Harry was very experienced with taking time to answer all our questions and gave us a wealth of information on this lovely city. Out tour through the food market was a cultural tasting experience. I highly recommend this tour if you want an exceptional feel for the history, food, and architecture of Riga. Ask for Harry!!

  • Very informative and interesting tour.
We saw all the main sights.
Edite gave us some great insights into Latvian history and culture.
    Highly recommended.

  • Ziga provided a great overview of the city, its history and the history of the people through the war and soviet times. Highly recommended English language tour. Thanks Ziga.

  • This was one of the best walking tours I have been on. Liga our tour guide was wonderful. Her depth of knowledge was impressive and her ability to read the group was perfect. There were only 4 of us which made the tour manageable. Liga knew when we needed a rest and also how to keep us moving. Our tour ended up lasting about 4 hours as we had lots of questions and photo opportunities. Liga was willing to accommodate our requests and never wanted to rush us. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see many sights that are not on regular tours and have the best tour guide. Thank you Liga for such an amazing day!!

  • Very interesting tour of the art nouveau buildings, city centre and markets. Superb tour guide, who took real trouble.

  • This was a really comprehensive tour that covered many of Riga's highlights and Liga was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and engaging. The tour started with the medieval part of the Riga city centre where Liga pointed out interesting buildings and landmarks and told us their stories. At one point a church with some very nice architectural features seemed to be closed for some event preparations, but Liga managed to gain access for us to take a peak inside. After a delicious coffee and cake break we moved on to the area where some of Riga's most famous art nouveau buildings are located and we found out the meaning of the different symbols used on the ornate facades and the stories of their creators. The buildings really are spectacular and one of the city's highlights in my opinion. The final part of the city was the market which is housed in five enormous hangars that used to contain zeppelins during the World War I. Having Liga as a guide was great as she explained what goods could be found in each space and showed us around the enormous array of delicious local produce, some of which we got to try out. It is a credit to Liga that although it was a very cold, wet day, we enjoyed the tour too much to worry about the weather. We would definitely recommend this experience which covered many of the best sights and tastes of the city.

  • A fantastic day seeing the sights of Riga. We booked this and the Soviet Ghosts and Heritage Tour on the same day and our beautiful guide, Liga, combined the two into an incredible day of sighseeing and food tasting! Would highly recommend both tours!

  • Liga- our guide, was very informative and knowledgeable. She took us to places we would not have found and answered all our questions. We particularly enjoyed our visit to the huge market and the art nouveau area in the new town- what a discovery!!
