  • The tour guides are amazing! Buses are on time. There are different staffs at the major stops available to help and organize the tourists. Danny from Brooklyn Loop is the B-E-S-T! He is full of humor and everyone is engaged during the whole trip. Kudos to the whole team!

  • What made it not great was no real fault of the bus company but the traffic is a nightmare, a trip that should take around an hour but takes 2-2 1/2 and its a long time on the trip.
The guides are informative, let you know in plenty of time about stops and what is in and around that area, so that aspect was excellent. You had plastic macs given to you for the open top buses for rain on upper deck and also ear phones for 5he commentary, which worked really well.
Its worth the trip for your bearings and does show you much of Manhatton.

  • Great way to get an overview of the city. Informative guides, friendly and funny guides. I especially enjoyed the night lights tour.

  • Always good for first day visit to a new city, you get your bearings and then go explore

  • Big Bus was the greatest choice to know the city without getting so tired.

  • Hello,

I have used Big Bus in Paris, London and most recently New York. I don't like the fact that when I booked our Big Bus two day pass on Viator, that I had to find a way to get to the Big Bus office to exchange my voucher for a ticket. The reason why many of us book bus tours is because we don't know the area and don't want to waste precious time trying to first find and then get to a Big Bus office to exchange our voucher. Also, the ticket office was not open past 7 PM so I had to waste a half day finding the ticket office the next morning, cutting into my 2 two pass.

I had to do this both in Paris and in New York. Paris was much worse as I didn't know the area and it took us a while to find the Big Bus office. I think it was on Champs Elysee.

When we were in London, there was a booking agent sitting right outside our hotel who sold and printed tickets for us, so we didn't have to waste a half day finding a Big Bus office.

Viator should have the technology to enable us to have our ticket sent to our phone or email so we can print it, bypassing having to go to a BIg Bus ticket office.

Before your customers purchase vouchers on your website, warn them over and over that they have to exchange the voucher for a ticket and GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS DIRECTIONS on how to get to the closest Big Bus office, or customer center.

  • There wasn't enough room on the buses. It was so busy it took a long time to catch and get on the bus. When we got on the bus it was very cold. It was cold waiting for the bus at stops. The bus did not come every fifteen minutes. The one tour guide was very good.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • My family and I had hop on hop off deluxe tickets for New York from 30/12/17-1/1/18. When I booked I rang to confirm that the tickets could be used on 31/12 and 1/1 as normal and was told yes. However on these dates we were restricted to shorter times which inconvenienced our touring of the city.

  • First let me say that the first tour I took was the night tour. The guide cracked me up. In between his narration about the City he would also tell us where to shop or more to the point, where not to. Dont buy anything in Times Square. Youll pay too much. He did give good tips about where to eat, shop, take your date, get a massage!. Im telling you the man was too funny.
The day route was somewhat the same but not as funny. The night bus had a plexiglass top. The day bus top deckpart was covered was solid. It was cold and if you sit inside you really dont see much. Had to wait too long for the uptown bus because the driver clipped a vehicle making the turn for the stop and he was grounded. Waiting for the next one in 20 degree weather...not good. Thats why I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars.
