Depart from Fountain Square (123-151 Buckingham Palace Road) in London and make your way to Blenheim Palace. Arrive early in order to ensure a nearly private visit of the fairy-tale mansion. View the impressive State Rooms, walk through the well maintained gardens designed by Capability Brown, and grab a photo opportunity at the lake.

Head next through the Cotswolds, taking in the countryside, sleepy villages, and bustling market towns on a tour of one of Englands most pretty regions. Drive to the sleepy town of Burford, built on a steep high street leading to the River Windrush and its medieval bridge. A lunch pack will be included.

See the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water, also known as the Venice of the Cotswolds. Take time to explore the low bridges and wander along the Main Street.

Top off the day with a visit to the enchanting Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. Estimated arrival time back to London is around 6.30pm.

  • I felt it was really well organized but not too intense. We did the Blenheim Cotswolds tour. It was nice because we got to stop off and walk around villages at our own pace , then we had a pretty decent packed lunch and ended up at Blenheim. Our guide was really first rate -- really knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

  • We certainly got our money's worth on this tour. We stopped at several towns in the Cotswolds and were able to have sufficient time to walk around and take photos, shop if you wish and grab a cup of latte. Bleinhem Palace was beautiful. I wish we could have had a personal tour inside.

  • I love the Cotswolds, and loved this tour. We spent enough time in Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water, although I would have liked a little more time in Stow-on-the-Wold. It was my first trip to Blenheim Palace, and well worth it. I would almost say the gardens are better than the palace! Pete was a great guide, although maybe a little bit too chatty at the end of a long day : Arrive early if it's your first time to that particular departure point - it's a little more confusing to find than Victoria Coach Station

  • Interesting and informative. An excellent way to see the area's highlights with understanding.

  • Wonderful day in the English countryside!
Knowledgeable and friendly guide and driver
    Visited amazing places
    Lovely weather
    All the activities on time
Packed lunch - cheddar sandwich, raisins snack, protein bar, still water, chips
    - More time needed for Blenheim Palace and less for the first village
    - Entry ticket to Blenheim Palace could not be converted to annual pass

  • The visit to several villages in the Cotswolds was very enjoyable - they were very quaint and weren't overly crowded even though our tour was on a summer Sunday. Blenheim Palace is a great place to visit - it has a genuine palace look inside and out. The grounds around the palace are huge - you could spend a full day and not see all of the grounds but the landscaping is beautiful and world famous so they are well worth some of your tour time.

  • The tour and guide were very good. I wish we had been able to see more of the Cotswolds by cutting back a little of the time at Blenheim Palace.

  • Wonderful tour! The experiences cannot be beat! I was a little peeved with how rushed we were in our final Cotswolds stop(we did it backwards- Cotswolds then Blenheim) and we only got 30 minutes in our last stop and then got back to London an hour early. :( not cool. Otherwise, great tour!

  • It was readily apparent that Ruth is a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. Admittedly, our diverse nationality group of 23 Asian and other non-English speaking wasn't the warmest or most responsive and this made it a challenge to establish a lively rapport and exchange. At points Ruth provided interesting quips and pieces of information and at others she was sort of phoning it in. Her presentation lacked enthusiasm for the spots we stopped at to get out and explore. Most of her commentary was provided en route and not actually at the sites we visited.

  • The tour bus that was used for this tour was not great. We were seated toward the back of the bus and several of the seats were broken - they would not sit upright and would recline on their own. Both seats in front of me and mom were reclining the whole time - their seats reclined so far back that their heads were within a few inches of our faces. It was very uncomfortable - and frankly claustrophobic by the end of the long ride back to London! We could not get off that bus fast enough. We were not the only ones affected by reclining seats - there were at least 5-6 other seats that were doing this. Another guest informed the bus driver, and he didn't really seem to care. He just said - I'll tell maintenance.

Additionally, the tour guide was very hard to understand over the loudspeaker in the bus. Her accent was thick. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience when we were on the bus - we left pretty disappointed with this tour.
