This was a really great trip (Shout out to Sadia based at the Royal Decameron Caribbean Club Hotel for organising it!). It was in 3 parts. Firstly we drove to the Coffee plantation through wonderful mountain scenery and there we had brunch. The guides then talked us through the process of planting , maintaining and harvesting the coffee and then described the preparation, roasting and grinding of the beans (with some hands on experience) - plus a taste of the coffee. And I can promise you it is really GOOD! We were then driven about 4.5 miles up towards the top of the mountain and we then rode bikes back down, stopping at various points for photos and info about the area from to the guide, farm to have lunch. So much fun! After a lovely lunch we cycled down a further 2.5 miles to a pool at the foot of a waterfall for a swim - very cold water (but refreshing) and it allegedly takes 10 years off your age - but you can't stay in for more than 15 minutes - although we did ask LOL. A really great trip - and you don't need to be an experienced cyclist - just have the ability to balance, steer and use brakes!
