Overview

Enjoy a private tour of Bogota's historic city center with a local guide and get to know the most important places and their history. Youll be picked up at your lodging and head to Monserrate to enjoy a great view of the city. Then youll walk around La Candelaria neighborhood where youll visit a traditional market recently renewed (Plaza de La Concordia), Chorro de Quevedo, Boteros Museum, Columbus Theater, Palacio Nario and Plaza de Bolvar. Finish the tour at the Gold Museum, the largest collection in the world of prehispanic goldsmithing pieces.

Enjoy a personalized tour of the historic city center with a local guide. Youll be picked up at your hotel and head to Monserrate where the tour starts. At this place you'll enjoy the amazing view of Bogot and realize how big the city is.

Then youll walk around La candelaria neighborhood where youll visit Chorro de Quevedo, Boteros Museum, Plaza de Bolvar, Columbus Theater and Casa de Nario. During the walk you'll be able to try some traditional food recommended by our guide. Finish the tour at the Gold Museum, the largest collection in the world of prehispanic goldsmithing pieces. After the Gold Museum you'll have time to visit a craft market to buy souvenirs or just to know the crafts made by local craftsmen.

    Diego was a fantastic guide, and I really enjoyed my few hours with him. His English is fluent and he is knowledgeable about all matters Colombian: art; history; politics; architecture; wildlife etc. I cannot recommend Diego enough, and on my next trip to Bogotá will definitely look him up for another tour.

    Tours are usually perfect because of the guide/host. Which is why this was a perfect day from the beginning to the end. Rafi is extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We learned so much about Bogota in the time we spent with him. Mount Monserrate was beautiful and the ride up and down was also a true experience. (Beware of the Sunday crowd, its insane.) The price was definitely worth the tour, you get more value than you think with this team. My husband is not a big museum fan but I am, so I loved getting to see the Museo del Oro and walk around La Candelaria and take photos of some of the street art. The best part for me was on the day we toured we were able to meet two of the other tour guides with their groups and they were all amazing! We stopped at a cafe on the Mount and had Canelazo. It was a perfect day!

    Again l did not know this was a private tour. But because of that, l could spend the time as l wanted. Enjoyed seeing the city from above and walking through LaCandelaria. Alejandro was a flexible guide and we opted not to go to the museum of gold but saw another one instead.

    Rafael was the best guide we ever had. Great day. He placed the day perfectly, stopping in typical Colomian places whenever we need to rest. Got a lot more than wah we paid for.
