Know More about this tour
Oscar Wilde called it, "Incomparable." John Berendt gave it to the world in the pages of "Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil." Through 250 years, few cemeteries have touched the hearts and minds of artists and people, as has Bonaventure. Saying the name to a Savannahian is like speaking of their fondest friend. Let us guide you through her 100+ acres, and reveal things that simply can't be understood or experienced by simply going there on your own. Like a great dinner party, a part of Bonaventure's ritual is having a local make your acquaintance to all of the interesting characters, but before introducing you, we'll give you the story scoop on each, and you'll soon fit right in! Some that await are Johnny Mercer, Little Gracie, Conrad Aiken, Harry Hervey, and so many others famous and just "every day," that you'll be dizzy with details and images that will keep you coming back for a lifetime!

Dawn was a very knowledgeable tour guide. She was very well versed in the history of Bonaventure. This is an experience that people should take when in Savannah.
Dawn of Savannah' dead was our tour guide and was interactive and amazing. As an added bonus, she sang excerpts from Johnnie Mercer's songs. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Laura was patient, wise, and very organized - answered our questions well, too! Amazing history - thanks!
Lots of history of Savannah, culture of different time periods and stories of the families of this city presented in a walking tour by an interesting professional guide.
Laura, our tour guide is was a delight. Her passion for what she does comes through during the tour. Although I’m not a fan of cemetery tours, I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Savannah.
Shannon Scott, tour guide was outstanding. He really explained Bonaventure's plan and had greatr stories of many of the interred. Sorry the tour wasn't longer! I could have listened for another hour ot two.
Absolutely wonderful! The tour was supposed to be 90 minutes but it was over 2 hours and full of interesting stories and information. We only touched on a small part of the cemetery but it was incredible to here of the famous, not so famous and the unknowns. Shannon has a very fluid way of storytelling and despite the fact it was incredibly hot and steamy, we couldn't get enough!
wonderful!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out the most important pats of the cemetery. I had walked the cemetery before, but with a guide we understood so much more. We toured the museum where the Bird Girl is located--wonderful 3 museums and house within walking distance. Highly recommended, also
Very informative and the tour guide was excellent.
