They get suggestions from the audience and turn those ideas into scenes, characters and even songs. The shows are a mix of short form, long form and musical improvisation. Boom Chicago are among the world's best improvisers and this 75 minute show flies by.
Many famous comedians got their start at Boom Chicago including Seth Meyers, Jordan Peele, the creators and stars of Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly), Ike Barinholtz, Amber Ruffin, and Kay Cannon. Best of all, the next generation is on stage tonight!

Classic improvisation comedy. Very well done. All in English. Drinks served at the table with a light that you turn upside down (turns red) to let the server know you want to order. If I was to visit Amsterdam again I would definitely put it on he agenda.

Really funny show and talented improv comedians. Sound/piano guy also added immensely to the show. Great break from usual tourist activities. Had our twenty something kids along too and they enjoyed it too! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the show very much! It was certainly a fun/funny show and the actors are talented improvisers (including the pianist, which was accompnying and, at times, guiding the song genres). All in all - a great experience! :)

It was so much fun - thank you thank you thank you!!!! ❤ There was the main show at 7 and afterwards the students had a show too you can go to for 6 euros and they were as good as the first show! Will def go again next time I'm in Amsterdam!
