Know More about this tour

After morning pickup from Vaitape Pier or your Bora Bora hotel, start your full-day combo tour with a 4WD safari in an open-sided truck, which easily scales mountain roads to several viewpoints along the way.

A professional guide takes you around the 20-mile (32-km) circumference of the island and stops at East Matira, Faanui Canon and Amanahune Bay lookouts with postcard-perfect views, including a panorama of the sparkling Bora Bora lagoon. Learn about the military artifacts left behind by US troops after WWII, and discover volcanic rock formations from the islands ancient caldera.

Youll also observe the production of coconut oil and tie-dye sarongs by local artisans at a crafts workshop, and sample tropical fruits at a small plantation.

Satisfy your appetite with lunch at Bloody Marys, an iconic restaurant popular for its food and atmosphere. Relax under the thatched roof amid a kitschy interior of tiki torches and palm-trunk seats while feasting on a menu of seafood, burgers, sandwiches and local specials.

Later, you are transferred to your boat for the afternoon cruise portion of your tour. Settle under the sunshade or on the sundeck as your captain navigates to a calm lagoon where you can snorkel in waist-deep water and observe stingrays or simply them from the boat if you prefer.

After snorkeling, youre taken to another spot where black-tip reef sharks glide past your vessel. Follow up at a final snorkeling spot over colorful corals teeming with tropical fish. After your search for Nemo is over, end your day trip with the return to your Bora Bora hotel.

After standing on the dock at Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort Thalasso for awhile waiting to be picked up for our excursion, concierge made some phone calls and was told our trip was cancelled. We had no heads up about this news and was never given a reason for the cancellation.

staff are super nice and friendly! Shout out to Tia here as he is my lifesaver- the snorkeling gear was not working on my face and leaked sooo many times, he came up a idea to help me out so that I won’t be left alone in the group. Such a nice experience with the team, will definitely try again once we are back!

Excellent sampling of all that Bora Bora has to offer. Tour starts with a boat ride to 4x4 starting location. Mario was our EXCELLENT guide taking us around the mainland. He provided a great overview of the island’s history and how it operates. Highlight was the US cannons built in WWII. Lunch at Bloody Mary’s was ok. Don’t expect the full experience for lunch—it’s a set “sandwich” menu. Go there at night on your own if you want the fresh caught fish of the day, which we did. Then Malaki took us by boat to a few snorkeling places, including the shark/stingray area and Coral Gardens. He was great as well. All in all, a fantastic full day experience!

Even though I was at an Airbnb, the company still helped book and pick me up, which was great! I started with the 4WD tour, which was ok. The guide took us to a few nice viewpoints on the island, and I did really enjoy the drive up and hike to the WW2 cannons. The guide was also very knowledgeable. However, I was expecting a little more 4WD action, it was mostly just driving around the main road. I think it would have been a little more exciting to see more nature/inner space of the island. The snorkeling was by far my favorite part! Absolutely incredible to swim with the sharks and honestly the prettiest coral reefs I've seen in person! The guide was also very knowledgeable and entertaining. If I did it again, I'd probably opt for either the snorkel/jet ski combo or just do a full day of snorkeling. Still had a wonderful time, though!

We did the private version of this tour. We enjoyed it! Our morning we spent on the 4x4 tour. We went first to a look out which had the best view. Then we went to see the cannons. The land rover gets you to the top and then you have a 10 minute or so hike to see the two big cannons. I'm a bit chunky and clumsy, but I made it! There is some walking/stepping on volcanic rocks. Steepish in places but nothing like Magic Mountain in Moorea. Wear tennis shoes for this! We also stopped and saw Matira beach which is gorgeous. At end, we went to a pareo shop where the lady dyes them and shows you how she bleaches patterns on them. They were $15 each. I bought 10 because I had yet to see a better price. We then had lunch a Bloody Mary's (separate review on their page) and changed into our swimsuits. Will picked us up and took us to our boat and off we went! First we went out past the Conrad and snorkeled the coral gardens. Will led and we followed. Amazing corals! I saw a sea horse! We then went to an area where there were a bunch of eagle rays down in the sand. It was around 30m deep but still so clear. After that, we went outside of the reef into the ocean and my husband snorkeled with the sharks. I was cold so I stayed on the boat. We made one more stop and the men snorkeled and I laid on the front of the boat and relaxed. After, Will took us directly back to the Four Seasons. This was a great way to see the island and more of the water that is NOT near your resort. Well worth the money spent!

We booked this tour through our resort after our original tour fell through due to the tour operator not agreeing to pick us up from our hotel. It was the same type of tour just a different provider. We started the day with a boat ride around the island and then met up with the land tour operator with the jeep. We got to see 2 viewpoints and the only public beach in Bora Bora which had beautiful water. It included a stop at a Pareo shop where they did a demo of dying the pareo and wearing them. It was neat but we lingered there too long because I think they were hoping we would buy one. Lunch at Bloody Marys was a highlight! It included your pick of lunch and one of their signature bloody marys. We got picked up there for the snorkeling portion which is what I was most looking forward to. We got to see sharks and sting rays for a short while before the current picked up too much and we had to move on. I know this is definitely not the fault of the tour operator, but one other comment on this part was that there were 2 other tour boats at the same spot so we were asked to stay within the triangle that the boats made. However there were 8 people just on our boat, plus the others from the other tours and the spot we were confined to was crowded. We might have had a better time even if it was cut short if we had more room to observe the sharks and rays. Also there didn’t seem to be enough flippers for everyone, even though half of our group brought their own so I was barefoot and scared to step down on the rocks where we were. We had packed our own snorkels luckily but now I know I should have packed flippers too. Luckily after we left the area with the sharks. They took us to a coral garden that had some of the most colorful fish that I have ever experienced on a snorkeling tour. This really saved the experience and was a huge highlight for us, so we were really glad in the end that we took this tour!

This tour was amazing! We really enjoyed the snorkeling with black tip reef sharks and stingrays and the coral gardens were fun as well. Most importantly, the guides were fun and made the longer day trip enjoyable.
