Know More about this tour

Start your experience with a pickup from your centrally located Istanbul hotel. Settle on your comfortable coach and listen to intriguing tales about Istanbul on your way to the Spice Bazaar.

Here, roam around the stalls piled with colorful spices, fruits and nuts, and soak up the aromas. Discover more about the bazaar from your guide and perhaps sample some of the treats on offer. Then, walk to nearby Rüstem Pasha Mosque, to marvel at this diminutive building, whose walls are laden in exquisite blue Iznik tiles.

Next, board your sightseeing boat and sail the Golden Horn, the inlet dividing European Istanbul in two, to see landmarks such as the Aynalıkavak Palace and Galata Tower. Take photos as your boat then cruises along the Bosphorus Strait past some of Istanbul’s greatest sights. Marvel at the Bosphorus Bridge, Dolmabahçe Palace and Rumeli Fortress, and admire the elaborate mansions and mosques on the Asian shores.

Around midday, leave your boat on the Asian side and savor an included 3-course lunch at a Bosphorus-side restaurant, accompanied by drinks (own expense). See the itinerary for a sample menu.

Continue by coach to Camlica Hill, Istanbul’s highest point, for spectacular views over the city. Next, cross the Bosphorus Bridge for a guided visit around the Dolmabahçe Palace, the former home of the Ottoman sultans. Ogle its sumptuous chambers and Crystal Staircase and Medhal Hall — all ostentatious displays of the sultans' imperial wealth.

Afterward, return to your coach and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off.

  • This was a great tour! My tour guide Serhat was awesome and very knowledgeable. I was lucky that I was only one who signed up for the tour, so ended up with a private tour! We covered a lot in one day without being hurried up. Highly recommended.

  • We went to Topkapi palace on this day. Our guide Mohammedia is a pleasant and knowledgeable lady. The cruise of Bosporus strait is a memmorable one. Took us to a restaurant on the shores of the strait. Good food.

  • The cruise was just fantastic with beautiful views of the Asian and European sides along the Bosphorus. The ostentatious Dolmabahce Palace and the view from Camlica Hill were sights to behold. We had time to shop a little at the Spice Bazaar. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

  • This tour was great however the Dolmabahce Palace was closed so unfortunately didn't get to see it.
Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and good was delicious.

  • Easy to go around by local guide. Greattttt

  • The tour was really nice and well organized. Even the sudden swim competition that cut the planned Bosphorus boat ride to the 'second bridge' Fatih Sultan Mehmet was made up by an excursion into the Marmara see. We enjoyed the excellent information and discussions with our guide she was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and shared her insights readily. The visit to Üsküdar with lunch was especially noteworthy because of the beautiful and unusual sight of many towers and antennas and a beautiful park. The Asian side of Istanbul is less 'advertised' but has so much to offer. This tour provided excellent insight into an ancient but dynamic city full of splendid architecture and incredible diversity.

  • This was an amazing 2nd tour around Istanbul. Our tour guide Jan was informative and fun. He gave us good information about history and modern current life in Istanbul. Highly recommended.

  • This was a great second-day tour after exploring the Sultanahmet Old Town district. We found the palace absolutely stunning. The lunch was fine though not outstanding and we enjoyed the views from the hill. I was especially pleased with the guide, who struck a good balance between patiently waiting for an elderly person on our tour with difficulty walking while keeping the rest of us engaged and making sure we didn't miss anything.

  • Had an absolutely amazing time on this one! Our super friendly local guide was awesome and an expert on Turkish culture and history. He went out of his way to make sure we were having a great time and was always open to answering all the questions we had.

  • Nice tour, lovely guide who was very knowledgeable.
