Know More about this tour

Immerse yourself in Boston's lively beer scene on guided morning and evening brew tours. Chat with brewery owners as you explore the equipment used to make beer, learn about the brewing process, and sample all kinds of suds!
See below for details on each tour.

Original Brew Tour

Meet your guide in downtown Boston in the morning, and travel by comfortable bus to four different Boston breweries. Let your guide introduce you to award-winning pilsners, stouts and other beers and explain the history and specialties of each brewery you visit.

The locations vary depending on the day you take your tour. Sam Adams, Cambridge Brewing Company, Night Shift, Mystic Brewery, Downeast Cider or Beer Works are among the breweries you might go.

A visit to Sam Adams reveals how the popular label uses artesian imported hops and fresh malt. Cambridge Brewing Company, the oldest brewery-restaurant in the Boston area, offers up sips of handcrafted, award-winning beers. Agave nectar, pink peppercorn and habanero peppers are among the unusual ingredients that might tickle your taste buds in Night Shift's concoctions.

All tours stop at The Meadhall, a gastropub where you'll see more than 100 beers from all over the world on tap, take a private behind-the-scenes tour, and enjoy lunch with your beer. Your brew tour concludes in downtown Boston in the afternoon.

Evening Brew Tour

Focus on the nanobrewing, or nano, scene in Boston on this tour that includes some 15 different beer tastings. Nanobreweries are small beer-making operations that make a few batches at time. Supplies are limited, and they usually go fast! Talk with the owners about their labors of love at four breweries that may include Beer Works, Night Shift Brewing, Idle hands, Mystic Brewery and Cambridge Brewing Company. You might try Belgian-style beers at Idle Hands, Boston's first nanobrewery, or a saison ale at Mystic Brewery.

Your evening tour concludes in downtown Boston.

  • Brilliant tour...... if you like IPA and a an overview of the history of the beer making process this is the tour for you.
Fun and informative our tour leader was great, apologies I cannot remember his name but he had a Beagle dog .

  • This tour was great. Matt, the tour guide was very knowledgeable about everything Beer. History of Beer and a few laughs too. The Lunch was a delicious assortment of comfort food, perfect choice to go along with Beer and Cider. Great value for the price. Totally worth it.

  • Very friendly and informative! I highly recommend this tour!

  • The tour was interesting and the beer guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
This is a tour of small restaurant type breweries. I feel that was not described when booking the tour.
Not clear instructions on where to meet the beer guide. Staff in the liquor store were not very friendly or helpful.

  • This tour was money NOT well spent. We paid 85 dollars for 3 tours and all of which were completely free to the public. Sam Adams was the best one because it was informative and they also give you a 7oz mug to test their beers. This is free to the public so you can drive on y our own time. The second was a small brewery run by a couple. It was nice to see but again, completely free if you wanted to go there on your own time. The third and LAST place he took us to wasn't even built yet, it was extremely hot and not informative at all. The owner wasn't there it was just us trying tiny bits of beer that was less than tasteful. We did go to Meadhall to eat but again... This wasn't worth 85 nor was it worth the semi cranky driver who admitted he was going to pick and choose where HE wanted to go. Typically people go to four, we went to three but can you even count the hot, UNDONE, place he took us to that will be a brewery one day If you are paying 85 you should get way more than that. This was unacceptable to say the least and I will NOT recommend this tour to anyone. Save your money and go yourself. Highly unacceptable to pay that amount of money for this type of thing.

  • Our tour guide Andy helped make the trip! He provided good knowledge of the beer making process and made it entertaining! We enjoyed the 4 different breweries and found many beers that we liked. It was a good evening all around and would do it again! Thanks
