Know More about this tour

You'll visit Stellwagen Bank, the East Coast's most famous Whale watching destination. Stellwagen's heavy concentration of humpback, finback, and minke whales guarantees an adventure filled with opportunities to view and learn about whales as they frolic in their natural habitat.

Each Boston Whale watching Cruise is narrated and guided by a naturalist from the noted Whale Center of New England (WCNE). The WCNE has been studying the whales of New England for more than 20 years and its members are recognized worldwide as authorities on whales.

One of the whales you're likely to spot during a Boston Whale watching Cruise is the humpback. These Northern hemisphere humpbacks reach an average length of 50 feet, and a weight of about 37 tons! Sadly, they're also among the most endangered, and its estimated that only 8 percent of their original population remains.

With the data collected on each cruise, WCNE is able to further the understanding of whales and their world. And, their presence on board ensures that your whale watch will be an exciting and educational trip.

Whale sightings on every whale watch. If you do not see a whale on your trip, you will receive a free ticket for a future Boston Whale watching Cruise.

The catamarans feature 3 outside decks for optimum viewing capability. Inside you will find climate controlled cabin space with cushioned seating, tables, state-of-the-art audio-visual, and a galley offering snacks and beverages for purchase.

Overall very good experience: have seen several whales from short distance, guided by professional crew that was giving also insights for the life of whales. Excellent experience in general, only minus that boat was very crowded. I would definitely recommend this cruise.

Awesome and cold but worthy , I wish whale were closer to us for better pictures but I will bring my friends

Nice trip. The trip out to the whales was long, but the water was so pretty that I didn't mind. When we got to the whales we saw 4-5 humpbacked whales. Very thrilling for me since I had never seen whales in their natural environment before. The narration was informative but not overly technical. All in all a very good experience for all ages.

Great boat...got to reserve pronto. We sat on top which was breezy but a real experience. Found mother and calf and stayed with them for a long time. Facilities on the boat were good. Trip took nearly four hours. Great value and a wonderful experience.

I booked this tour for my mom and I and we had the best time! The guides were so friendly and helpful in educating us and helping us find the whales. We saw several different whales and it was so much fun to see them in their natural habitat. If you have a few hours to kill, I definitely suggest you do this tour!

The naturalist was fantastic, but the seas were very choppy, so the ride out was nausea-inducing. Even worse, we didn't see any whales. However, they gave the entire ship not-expiring vouchers, so at least we got a free ride into the deep sea

Get your tickets straight from BHC, not a 3rd party. I paid for 4 tickets, Viator only booked me 2 tickets. Where's the other half of my payment?

  • 24-Sep-2019

We saw 150-200 dolphin on the way out and followed 5-6 whales! The naturalist explanation really made the day! Great trip although there were a lot of people who got seasick even though the water was fairly calm.
