Meet your guide by the Opera House before heading to two of Budapest's Christmas markets. Along the way, pass the bustling shopping street of Andrassy Boulevard, with holiday decorations illuminating the area. Head inside St. Stephens Basilica, one of the largest churches in Hungary.
Afterward, make your way through the Christmas markets, browsing the stalls filled with handicrafts and local delicacies such as lngos (deep fried flatbread) and krtskalcs (chimney cake). Stop in a nearby restaurant to warm up with a 3-tier winetasting, sipping some of Hungary's most beloved blends.
At the end of your tour, enjoy a complimentary mulled wine before parting ways with your guide at the biggest Christmas market in Vorosmarty square. Here you can continue to explore independently, check off some holiday shopping, and see the popular shopping area of Vaci Street nearby.
The walking tours run with small groups and generally do not have more than 15 participants. This makes them interactive and personal and gives you plenty of chances to ask questions and get to know your guide.
