Meet your host near the Danube in central Budapest and hop on board your sightseeing boat for your cruise along this legendary river.
Settle on the upper open deck or head for the inside, lower deck to enjoy the views through the picture windows. Then, relax and breathe in the sights as your boat glides past many of Budapests greatest architectural treasures.
Admire the vast, neo-Gothic Parliament house and sail under the mighty Chain bridge, the first permanent stone-built link connecting the citys Buda and Pest districts when it was built in 1849.
Keep your camera at hand, too, to capture the charming steeples, turrets and towers of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Castle District. See the Royal Palace and Fishermens Bastion perched on cobbled Castle Hill, and soak up the views over rocky Gellert hill, with its Statue of Liberty, Citadel and nearby Gellerts Bath complex.
As you sail, enjoy a complimentary coffee, tea or soda, the perfect accompaniment to your sightseeing. If youre feeling peckish, take your pick from the snacks (own expense) served on board, such as traditional Hungarian bread and dripping, and bread topped with delicious krztt (cheese spread).
After roughly 1.5 hours, your boat will meander back to its original start point, where your cruise comes to an end.

Firstly this boat trip left from virtually outside my hotel yet we had to walk 20 minutes into town to the agent's office to pick up the tickets only to have to follow a guide all the way back to the pier to join the boat - which had the operator's own staff on board selling tickets. The excursion itself was poor, Two hours was too long as we had just 30 minutes in the main, scenic part of the river central area before going up river where there is nothing much to see whereupon we floated around, engines off, for over an hour. No commentary at all, just awful taped music consisting of some sort of Elvis impersonator ruining a selection of songs. This tour could and should consist of one hour, the second hour was a total bore. Everyone was very pleased to disembark when we finally got back to the pier. I cannot recommend this one I'm afraid.

I thought it was supposed to be 90 minutes in length, but after 45 minutes we were back at the dock and everyone was getting off the boat. Not sure if we were supposed to stay on and there was more to it, no one told us to get off, no one motioned us to stay on for more. But we were ready to be off anyway rather that sail the same route a 2nd time if that's what would have occurred. Beautiful bridges and buildings along the Danube in Budapest!
