Know More about this tour

You don’t have to choose between touring the beautiful city on four wheels or taking in the sights from the deck of a pleasure boat! After meeting your guide in central Budapest, you’ll do both on board your comfortable amphibious coach.

Heading down the busy streets of the capital, your coach will take you past all its highlights. See the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the first example of Neo-Renaissance architecture in Budapest, completed in 1865. Then, go by the Hungarian Parliament building, seat of the National Assembly and the largest Parliament building in Europe. Admire the exterior limestone ornaments as your guide describes the Gothic Revival style.
When you've covered a lot of ground, join the excited gasps of your fellow travellers as your bus turns into a boat and you splash into the lapping water of the Danube River, admiring gorgeous riverside views before heading back to shore.
Throughout your tour, you'll see the following landmarks:
  • St Stephen’s Basilica – the largest church of Budapest
  • The Great Synagogue on Dohány Street, Europe’s largest synagogue
  • Hungarian State Opera House
  • Heroes’ Square, the most impressive square of Budapest where the Millennium Monument stands
  • Széchenyi Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) – the first permanent bridge over the Danube between Buda and Pest

  • Couldn't hear the commentary very well.

  • Couldn't hear the commentary very well..

  • I went to the meeting place 15 minutes before 17:00 as suggested by voucher. Several people did not appear by departure time some of them moved in bus during river tour and were warned. We had to wait for long time until departure, which changed my schedule after tour. Tour should be started on schedule without waiting for non-punctual people..
I expected that boat would go to the area near chain bridge. But tour ended at the parliament, which made me disappointed.

  • After 10 or 15 minutes the bus stopped for about 20 minutes due to road closures because of a visiting diplomatic delegation. The commentary Was switched off and the bus then made a detour. The River segment was shortened and did not cruise past the parliament building. Very disappointing.

  • The experience of taking a tour by both land and water was unique, and a big fanfare when going down the slipway into the Danube made for a dramatic event. On the negative side, seating was cramped and the aircon was not very effective. The tour itself was nothing special. but the amphibious experience makes it worthwhile.

  • I loved this ... I'd never done water tours or cruises before, and I loved seeing the city from the streets and the river. And I loved their sense of humor.

  • Bought the tour....then found out that tour was not running for over a month

  • very informative and unique experience! bus actually goes in water but it was very safe
