After pick up by bus, our driver will drop you off at the begin of the route, in the carpark of the beach of Cala Pilar, an area famous for its hills of intense reddish color, due to the large amount of clay composition of the territory. It is a stage characterized by the diversity of habitats, which we find as we move along the road with a large expanses of forests and shrub species.
The route goes inland, crossing fields mostly of barley and wheat, until you reach the Algaiarens beach, (two beaches and dune systems of great beauty). We continue towards the west where we will pass from the Tramuntana area until we reach the picturesque cove of Ses Fontanilles, a small beach with pebbles and sand. Following the line of the coast the vegetation becomes lower, abound with rosemary, heather as well as the popular Camamil.la (Camomile of Menorca).
There are beautiful views from the Codenalar de Biniatram. Along the way we find a cistern in Corniola, a magnificent example of this type of construction designed to collect the rainwater that channels the water to the well. We continue to the Cala Morell where our route ends and our bus will pick you up at 5.00 pm for the return journey back to Ciutadella.
