We went twice in 3 days - late afternoon Saturday until closing and all day Monday. On the positive side, the rides were great. On the negative, the food was not (until we found one restaurant on the 2nd trip). The biggest negative was the number of food options closed on Monday - only 2 places were available for All Day Dining. It isn't fair to those of us who purposely take a day off from work to take our kids to the park on a weekday to avoid the lines to then be punished by a lot of closed places. If I pay the full price for park access on a Monday (or any week day), I expect to be able to use all rides and restaurants. The family loved the rides, and got to experience all of them except Verbolten (closed) and Griffon (closed before we could get there on Monday). The food we had on Saturday was bland and boring, but the place selling the All Day Dining food had 2 shelves of food - 1 for the all day dining, and 1 not included, which of course looked much better. Only on our 2nd trip to the park on Monday did we find Festhaus and the wonderful choice of food available in the All Day Dining. Finally a meal, and not just chicken fingers and fries. Unfortunately, the smoke house and another potential restaurant were closed on Monday. Any references I give to future visitors will be to avoid the All Day Dining option and to expect certain things to be unavailable in the middle of the week. We want to come back later in the year when it is cooler, but how do we know what will and will not be open when we do?

Some good rides but poor guest experience. We got there at opening and several rides and a large area of the park (France) were inexplicably not opened for 30-45 minutes. Employees told us different things about when stuff was going to open and none had any idea why the delays. Many food places were closed despite a reasonably crowded day and none of the mobile ordering was open, so long lines in the heat for overpriced mediocre food. Some rides also closed early for no apparent reason. App was totally unhelpful (no wait times, wouldn't even tell what rides were open). Would begrudgingly return mostly because Pantheon is so awesome but would have lower expectations now and wouldn't bother getting there at opening.

I bought tickets, a premium parking pass (due to needing the kennel) and kennel for our dog. Online I selected tickets for August 8 and kennel and parking for that date. We got discounted tickets, but when I got there, I was told that they had expired, despite selecting Aug. 8 online and all the other things for that date. We had to pay an addition $130 on top of the cost of the tickets we had already bought. We were shunted from one guest services booth to the other and had to wait in line twice besides waiting a long time for a disability accommodation for our son who has a disability and has difficulty waiting in long lines. It took an hour and 40 minutes before we could even get in the park! I am waiting to hear back ab out a refund of the exhorbitant overage I feel we paid as there was no online indication the tickets would not be good on August 8.

Loved this park. Bush Gardens is such a beautiful park with lots of things to do for all ages. I have three year old and a nine year old. Finding rides for both was easy and plentiful. My girls had a blast. Will definitely be back!

Ill start out with a topline: Rides - 5/5 Atmosphere - 5/5 Dining - 3.5/5 Service - 2/5 Overall Experience - 4/5 This is one of my favorite parks because of the environment and the themes. I enjoy the feel of the different countries and they do a great job of transitioning you into each country with sights and music. This is, in my opinion, one of the highlights of this park. The rides were all great. None disappointed. I was surprised that we were able to go on so many rides without a line. The newest and most popular rides tended to have a wait but we would hit those early or at off times. There were plenty of rides options from more mellow kid friendly rides up to world class roller coasters. My personal favorite ride was Verbolten. Don't miss that one. Darkoaster is worth doing once for the experience. I'm not a fan of the timed opening of some rides or sections of the park. I understand why they do it, but it forced us to walk significantly more, when we are already walking a lot (avg 18,000 steps each day). This could be made more guest friendly my alerting guest which rides have a delayed opening. The app might be a good place to do that, but the app is horrendous and pretty much useless. With all of the different countries, there is a variety of dining options which was refreshing. Some of the food is actually good. However, this park is not what it used to be. It has the feel of a place that is on the verge of bankruptcy and needs to gouge it customers for as much as possible to barely break even. The park is understaffed. What staff is there have all of the enthusiasm of death row prisoners. The bathrooms are not served often. The place is a little run down. I do need to comment on the all day Dining Plan. Never have I seen a promotion so antithetical to guest satisfaction. The rules and restrictions on this plan are borderline hostile. You want to get a bag of chips instead of a side or dessert, nope forget it. Better yet, you want to get a bag of chips instead of an entree, side and drink? Nope, forget it. You want a specific side? Well they will tell you which sides are allowed. The pretzel house is included on the list, but you cant get a pretzel there. If you're someone that frequents fast food chains and buys combos off those menus then this plan will be fine for you. And will be cost effective. If you like the slightest bit of choice then you might want to skip the dining plan. Gripes aside, we had a great time here over 2 days. We will go back again.

I made a trip on a weekday in hopes of a lighter crowd. The park was pretty full and somewhat understaffed. It was not a bad experience but not great. In past years on weekdays the lines for rides had been super light On another note - I lost my phone on a ride. I did the steps they tell you too when I lost a phone. They have my phone yet claim they don’t & from what people say on the phone there is zero way to talk to lost and found after leaving the park. Attached is the movement of my phone at BG

This could be a great park, but there are some key issues that drag it under other parks. First, the app. My family visits theme parks all over the US. The app for this park is by far the worst app we have ever used. No wait times, no ride status, no filters, and it regularly crashes. A paper map would be more helpful. Second, large areas of the park don't even open at park opening time! Finally, the entrance. There are only about 10, yes 10, entry kiosks. To make matters worse, there is only 1 person in each helping 2 lanes. That means there are only 5 people being helped at a time. We waited over 30 min just to pay for parking. Considering other parks have 20+ kiosks, this is rather ridiculous. Again, a few changes could make the park experience much better.

Bush Gardens is a beautiful big park. A lot of fun rides for all ages and having animals to see, makes it even better. You really need two or more days to really enjoy the park and not fill rushed. Wear comfortable shoes! Food was good, very pricey, but aren't all amusement parks? We used the dine all day deal, it's worth it if you eat at least 3 times in the park. Plenty of bathrooms and rest areas. Wish there were more signs in the park with directions. Some ates are great, other areas are confusing even using the park app. My husband and I, in our 50s, took 2 granddaughters, 7 and 9, we all had a great time!

What happened? I have been coming to BG since I was 5 (I’m 46 now). Up until recently, I would put this park up against nearly any park in the country, including Disney. I don’t know what happened, but the quality has gone off a cliff. Some specific examples: 1) The park opens at 10, but the vast majority of rides don’t open until 1030. If you’re willing to take my money at 10, then don’t create artificial lines by making me wait a half hour to ride anything. 2) Filthy. BG used to pride itself on being the most beautiful park in the country. You know how to keep that reputation? Take out the trash! We were in line for Pantheon when it first opened, and the trash cans were overflowing into the queue and stunk. That means no one had touched it since yesterday….gross. 3) Concessions. For a family of 4, it cost $112 for lunch. That’s almost price what I paid at the same location last visit. Additionally, BG has the gall to slap on a 5% service charge to already exorbitant prices. Taking a page from Disneys playbook? I have always loved BG…but this may be my last trip.

Beautiful European themed landscaping with plenty of areas providing shade. We got there 15 minutes after opening and the traffic to get into the parking lot was terrible. We waited a good 20-30 minutes to get to the parking booth. It’s not a water park but for small children there is a splash pad and a few rides (maybe 3 or 4) get you wet. The rides are fun! Thrilling rollercoasters for the brave and plenty of rides for small children (including walking toddlers). Some of the kids rides are actually fun for adults who ride with their kids. Definitely worth visiting. As far as All-Day-Dining package goes I was furious that the one place that had burgers was only open on weekends! That’s right Squire’s grille was CLOSED on a Monday even though it’s included in all day dining! Pizza and Burgers are NOT included in the kid’s All-Day-Dining which was disappointing because that’s what my kids wanted. I would definitely not get the kids All-Day-Dining ever again. Pretty much your only entree options for kids are: chicken nuggets w/fries, crust-less PB & J or Mac n cheese at most places and at Marco’s they had spaghetti and some Asian inspired kids meals as well. If you get an adult pizza at Marco’s it can probably feed 2-3 small children (equivalent of maybe 4 slices). It rained and the rides remained open. Personally I only think the shows were worth seeing if you happened to be eating while they are on. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see them (although my toddler and preschooler enjoyed the German one). General parking was fine because they have trams that are constantly running to take you from the parking lot to the park. There was no need for us to pay extra for special parking closer to the park. The trams even allow a place for strollers in their open positions. Fireworks are also limited to weekends and maybe Friday which was also disappointing but I will always choose a less busy day over more entertainment. So in summary: the park is great, parking is convenient, All-Day-Dining wasn’t worth it for my kids, beware that Squire’s grill is closed on weekdays.
