In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Cairns Reef Terminal to board your fast catamaran to the beautiful Green island located on the Great barrier reef. Here you will enjoy two full hours enjoying the wonders of this unique reef environment. You can choose to snorkel the reef or see it on the glass bottom boat tour. You will be amazed in what you see in just two hours!
In the afternoon you will return back to Cairns and your local guide will collect you from the Cairns Reef Terminal. From here you will head north to the lower Barron gorge national park in the heart of Cairns. Stop at Surprise Falls, a 243-meter high waterfall set amongst the lower Barron Gorge.
Continue climbing the Lamb Range to the west of Cairns and enjoy the spectaculars views over Cairns city and out towards Green island on the Great barrier reef.
Next visit Lake Morris and Copperlode Dam; this is Cairns water supply and is surrounded by World Heritage rainforest-clad mountains. There is time to stretch your legs at the unique location and get some amazing photos from the lookout prior to crossing the dam wall.
With an exclusive access permit, your 4WD will take to you to areas not open to the public, away from the crowds. Wind through some of the most amazing rainforest in the region and over the Great Dividing Range, one of the longest Mountain ranges in the world and Australias largest.
Continue through the rainforest, crossing several creek systems and stopping at a boardwalk for an interpretive overview of the rainforest from your guide. Here you will be introduced to the Clohesy River Fig, one of the most impressive fig trees in the tropics.
The next destination will take you from the lushness of the Wet Tropics rainforest to the beginning of Australias mighty Savannah country. You will truly be amazed at the rapid change in the forest types and scenery.
From here, head back onto the sealed road towards the Wet Tropic World Heritage area and into Kuranda Village. Continue to the Upper Barron gorge national park. Stop at the Wrights lookout for a stunning photo overlooking the Barron Gorge and back towards the coastal plains and Cairns City. Then, take a very short drive to the Barron Falls lookout to view possibly the most famous waterfall in Northern Queensland -- the mighty Barron Falls.
Head back towards Cairns via the Wet Tropic World Heritage drive on the Kuranda range, stopping at the Henry Ross Lookout overlooking the northern beach suburbs of Cairns and back out towards the Coral Sea before you are returned to your accommodation.

The tour is better than the brochure! A small an intimate half day tour with Driver and Tour Guide Mick. The tour vehicle is very comfortable and appropriate for Cairns rainforests and outback. We saw Kuranda, Waterfalls, Rainforests, local flora and fauna, 800 year old trees, easy 4w driving, swam in breathtaking rivers over ancient volcanic rocks, tasted tropical fruits and the professional commentary was interesting and educational. A great family and adult day sightseeing, with fabulous customer service. The commentary from Mick was knowledgeable and funny. What a great day. Highly recommend this Cairns tour.

We really enjoyed this tour. Going to Green Island in the morning and to the rainforest in the afternoon was a good combination. Mick is an excellent tourguide! We would highly recommend this tour (for every age/condition).

It was a great experience. The snorkling on green island was ok, but it was a shame that there are not so many colorful corals so close to shore. You are snorkling from the beach so it is difficult to go out further than when you snorkel from a boat.
The rainforest tour was awesome. Our tour guide was Leo, who had some great stories to tell and we had a group of total 6 persons which was very nice. We have seen parts of the rainforest where you otherwise would not go. I definitely recommend this trip.
