You can stay on one trip with the same group and travel in the minimum time for a tour-type experience (itinerary below) or spend longer by getting on and off the bus/train at different places. All transport over your set pass route, whether in your local operators' own buses, public buses, trains or boats is included in one direction, once. Hop on and off anywhere over your route, stay longer and jump back on when youre ready.

Once you have confirmed your booking you will be provided with a login to their web-app to manage your pass. Book on and off your transport; book, rate and review, and get great deals on accommodation and activities.

Travel Day: Cairns Magnetic Island

We travel by train south to Townsville, getting in around mid-afternoon and then take the ferry out to tropical Maggie Island. There is much to explore on the island, as nearly 50% of it is National Park with amazing beaches and abundant wildlife.

Travel Day: Magnetic Island Airlie Beach
In the morning your guide will join you on the Forts walk, otherwise you can do some exploring, check out the local wildlife park or just relax by the pool. In the afternoon we travel back to the mainland on the ferry, then jump on the train to Proserpine, with a transfer to Airlie Beach arriving approx. 7pm.Note:Depending on which day you depart, you may have a free day to spend on Magnetic Island.

Free Day in Airlie Beach

Have a full day in Airlie Beach for activities or to relax. There are great Whitsunday Islandsoptions for any timeframe.

Travel Days: Airlie Beach Emu Park

In the early evening, transfer to the train and travel overnight to the cool coastal town of Emu Park. We spend 2 nights here giving you time to visit Great Keppel Island, take part in the Loka treasure hunt, snorkel the Great barrier reef and keep a look out for turtles at Bluff Point!

Travel Day: Emu Park - Rainbow Beach

Travel to Rainbow Beach via train and bus. Rainbow Beach is a departure point for Fraser Island. Walk up to Carlo Sandblow for sunset.

Travel Day: Rainbow Beach (via Noosa) Brisbane

Visit the local dolphin centre to see wild dolphins up close. Travel by bus through Noosa and onto Brisbane where we drop you off in the city centre.

Inclusions

All transport including fast trains between Cairns and Cooroy, bus between Cooroy and Brisbane, return ferry to Magnetic Island and local transfers.

You need at least 8 days to complete this trip but you have 12 months from activation.

You can break your journey at any of the stops through any of the travel days and just connect with a later bus or rail departure (guided or unguided). You can book your own accommodation or your guide will book it for you, you will usually get a bed-only option (averaging AU$32 per person per night), a twin/double option (averaging AU$100 per room) or at your main unique stops there is a set price for your accommodation and meals (and activities where applicable).
