Wonderful educational experience with a fantastic guide. I am so glad we chose to book this tour fir our first day in Egypt. It was a nice introduction to the Egyptian cultures and our guide Had very good English and was very courteous to my elderly parents that I was traveling with. I had never been to a Mosque before and loved learning more about the Islamic religion and getting the opportunity to go into a mosque and meet an Iman. We also had the chance to explore local churches and learn how Christianity was tied into the Egyptian history. The only negative part of the day was the lunch was at a buffet restaurant with a couple tour buses do it had lots of options but was loud and crowded with tourists. I would have preferred a local more personal dining experience since their was only 4 of us. Overall I would highly recc especially for the value.

Great experience for anyone who wants to see Old Cairo. My guide Hussein was excellent! He did a wonderful job explaining the history of everything and answered all my questions. He also took so many great pictures of me at the different sites, which I appreciated since I was a solo traveller. Highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing the most beautiful mosques and churches in Cairo!

Hands down our best excursion in Cairo. I didn't think we'd get much out of this tour but I was wrong. Our guide Marwan was AWESOME! He was very thoughtful and knowledgeable. He allowed us to set the pace of the tour, provided detail on anything we asked about and generally just made the tour an enjoyable, relaxing day. Hassan was our driver and seemed to magically show up right when we needed him. We really appreciated not having to stand around waiting. One thing of note is that Marwan did not push us to any tourist traps like papyrus factories or other places designed to take your money. I asked about a few places to stop and were steered to places where locals seemed to go. There was none of that craziness with a place where 20 guides are waiting while tourists are being fleeced for cash. If you're looking for something interesting and think this isn't for you, think again. As for Marwan and you won't be disappointed. He's a true guide and so knowledgeable he should be a teacher.

A wonderful time with Khaled. He is a wealth of knowledge. Be ready to walk and talk. Seeing the changes in the religious history is fascinating.

Great knowledgable cheerful guide! Rely knows his stuff and able to discuss Egyptian life and Cairo generally as we travelled between sites. Lovely person just great!

Disappointing experience overall - it was advertised as a full day tour, we finished in max 4 hours. Ie you pay for the driver and guide’s full day time but only spend half a day - if you go on this tour and with this company (not recommended), please pay for entry tickets yourself. The company will charge you double - though very friendly, the guide’s English was mediocre at best During the day and afterwards, we have tried to engage with the tour company but unfortunately they were rather dismissive / non-responsive. They offered to take us to other places to fill up the remaining half day, but we had already visited. If the tour is advertised as full day, I feel it should take a full day rather than having to scramble around for things to do. As it stands, we have overpaid for the driver’s time, the guide’s time and the entrance fees. The sights are all worth seeing, but I would recommend to go with other organisations and be mindful what you pay for.

Excellent guide who knew lots of information and helped make the visit meaningful. I highly recommend Mohammed and EMO tours - probably the best guide I had on this trip!

We had the best experience so far in Egypt, all thanks to our guide Essam. He's very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history and it's a pleasure to engage and listen to his stories. Besides that, he's a lovely and friendly guy and never once we felt rushed or pressured, and it felt he adapted himself to our needs. We had a great dynamic. If you're coming to Egypt, book with Emo Tours and ask for Essam. You won't regret it. I wish i would've met him earlier on our Egypt trip.

This is hands down the best tour we’ve had! Our tour guide was Essam. And driver was Nabil. Essam is truly knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about history. He is a great story-teller and knows how to engage. He is also very caring, friendly and always ready to help and answer any questions we had. He always made sure we were able to take our time, we had water and were comfortable, and he is great in taking pictures :)! Nabil is a great and skilled driver! Also very friendly and caring. He never pressured or rushed us, and made sure no one would bother us. What I really loved about Essam and his tour, is that he took us to places where you get the feeling of a local life dynamic (lunch spots, coffee shops, juice stops, non-touristic mosques etc.). We got to visit amazing places and get a glimpse of culture and daily life of people blended with rich history of Egypt. I wish we would have found him earlier. If you are in Cairo or Giza, and are eager to learn about history and get a wonderful experience, book a tour with Essam from Emo Tours and you will not regret it.
