Very organized and informative staff. Snorkeling locations were great, saw lots of fish, turtles and beautiful coral!

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The water colour, temperature, & clarity was next to none. The amount of different species of fish and other aquatic life was mind blowing. The coral was very beautifully coloured & came in all sort of shapes & colours. The boat was modern, the staff helpful & had good knowledge of most things on the reef. Food & beverages provided were more than sufficient. We would do this trip again in a heartbeat.

What a fabulous day out! The whole team on Calypso Ten on Saturday were just brilliant. A big shout out to Pam, who was our dive leader and who really made our experience memorable. If you're going to the reef, go with Calypso. Thank you all for a great day.

We had a day trip to the Outer Reef. My husband and I both wanted to dive but our son is currently too young. Calypso enable adults to do solo dives whilst the other adult goes snorkelling with the child. Danny, our 10yr old, had great fun on the snorkelling and we were even able to snorkel above Dad as he dived. The boat was big, clean, comfortable and perfectly equipped for the trip. The crew were all experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic. The reef (Agincourt) was in amazing condition (given the amount of daily divers and snorkelers that visit). We were really lucky; there had been several calm, warm days so the visibility was great, there was no current on our dives and the coral was vibrant. Particular thanks to our Dive Master, Irene, who was careful to ensure everyone knew the dive plan, thoughtful if divers were struggling, knowledgeable as to the sightings from the dive and excellent at communicating during the dive too. The boat was very clean and the catering was perfect for what we wanted. They had complementary ginger tablets to keep any seasickness at bay plus tea, coffee and hot chocolate to warm you after a dive / snorkel. The marine biologists gave a really informative talk during lunchtime jam packed with information for novices and also those with a bit of prior knowledge. We even saw a pod of pilot whales on the journey home. We would happily use Calypso on our next visit.

With our two children age 11 and 13 we sailed with Calypso to 3 dive sites where we could dive and the kids could go snorkelling Excellent dive master Imogen! All crew members really look after you. With delicious lunch and fruit with sweets after every dive. Would highly recommend them!!!

I would thoroughly recommend Calypso. The crew are extremely professional and friendly. The day was really well organised. Jordon’s snorkelling tour and reef talk were brillant. We were even lucky enough to see some humpback whales on our return journey. Truly awesome day !

The staff were amazing from diving with Pamela and Imogen to Sam the skipper, Bruno and all the staff with professional service throughout the day. We were well looked after and the diving on Opal Reef was according to our skills, felt comfortable all the time. Plenty of food and drink, well worth the money. Would definitely go again if we were to return to Port Douglas :)

A fantastic whole day trip to the reef with Calypso which I would highly recommend. The entire day was run with such care and professionalism by a very well trained and attentive crew. We booked as certified divers and had Pamela as our guide. Her briefings both before and after diving were detailed and careful which is just what we needed having not dived for a year. She did a great job looking after us and pointing out various aspects and creatures of the reef. We also benefited from an interesting talk about the reef from another crew member - we really got the feeling that all the staff cared deeply about the ecosystem and its wellbeing. The food was good, snacks/tea/coffee and a fair selection at lunchtime plus they catered well for dietary requirements. We were not lucky with the weather and the journey out to the reef was choppy but the staff were very kind to those passengers who felt ill bringing them bags and drinks. All in all, well worth the money for a fabulous trip.

We really enjoyed this part of the reef better than Cairns. We had a good time and saw a lot of colourful fish and corals. The only reason we are giving this a 4 is we were supposed to dive, which we are certified for, but were not permitted to do so bc of medical paperwork. They gave us a personal snorkel experience which was lovely. My issue was. The lady filling out the paperwork raised a question about the medical documents and when we gave her our answers, she said OK. It wasn't until we were already on our way out to the reef that we were told we were not going to be allowed to dive. I was upset bc the whole purpose of this event was to dive, not snorkel. If there was an issue, it should have been communicated and resolved before we left instead of trapping us on a boat for 8 hrs. The staff and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. We would do it again but confirm we would be able to dive without issue. We preferred this reef to the ones we dove in Cairns.

Gorgeous scenery of course, but it was the crew that made the experience. I was very nervous about snorkelling and not only did I get support and extra reassurance from staff, I had the marine biologist, Jay, personally take me out to the reef to guide me. Thanks to a great team that involved Jay, Seb, Mo and many more. Highly recommended!
