Our guide was wonderful. Full of history and knowledge of the area past and present. We enjoyed the private home cooked lunch at a small ranch tucked into a private canyon. This is must do while in the area

Being in San Miguel for a week I was hoping to have an authentic Mexican experience. In the morning we went to the Archeological Site with Horatio who was so much fun and very informative of the meso-american culture. In the afternoon, after a wonderful lunch at the rancho we hiked for a couple hours above the nearby canyon with Frederico and Juan. Their insights and knowledge of the natural world we encountered was very helpful and enriched our experience.

What a wonderful trip with Lino, our guide, to the Canada de la Virgen site. We did the tour with lunch - I recommend this option. Lino was very informative about the temples and especially how they were constructed to coincide with both the lunar and solar calendars - fascinating information and amazing in the accuracy of the construction. The lunch was served on the porch of a ranch and was cooked by the family there - it was authentic Mexican food and absolutely delicious.

The site was fantastic and Lino was a great guide. He also was helpful getting me up and down the temple steps.

This was a very spiritual experience for me. The clouds, the wind, a spattering of rain and stories of ancient pilgrimage, all contributed to a unique trip. Be prepared to walk and hike. Also, backpacks are not permitted so I’d advise pockets for phone and water. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the site as well as wildlife

What a great adventure! Our guide was super knowledgeable, easy to understand and kept us intrigued the entire time of our tour. Highly recommend this experience.

Our trip was amazing! We had Horacio as our guide and he could not have been more perfect. He was very knowledgeable and engaging, helped us with every little detail. He even dropped us off at our next tour destination. The authentic lunch on the ranch was exceptional. My daughter and I enjoyed every minute! Thanks again!

It was nice to get out of the city and see some beautiful country side. My guide was knowledgeable and shared information about himself as well as the archaeological site.

We were blessed with an actual archaeologist who had worked on this site! Rossana was amazing - a wealth of knowledge and such a kind person! I felt like my best friend took me on a tour of her work. It was so cool all the stories she told. I truly appreciate the understanding of the indigenous peoples for the earth and their expression of the calendar via architecture.. the walk is quite long and strenuous - do be aware if you have health issues. We enjoyed every minute of this amazing monument. A must do!
