Eine wunderschöner Hike mit dem super netten Guide Robert! Die Wanderung war sehr angenehm mit vielen Pausen, um diverses über Fauna, Flora und Historie zu erfahren.

Robert was amazing. Even if we were a bit scared of high, he was super careful and helped us through the path! It was an amazing experience

Wow, what an experience! It was three of us doing this hike and I am personally terrified of heights, so I was skeptical that I would enjoy it or even reach the summit. Well, we met Rob our guide and he immediately explained what to expect and how the hike would go. He asked how we felt about heights and once he learned of my fears, he put me at ease. His demeanor was very reassuring. The hike itself is what I would consider moderate. You definitely need to be ready for some spots that require a little bit of skill, but in our case, Rob was there to help all the way. He even literally held my hand at times when it got challenging for me. We went up to catch the sunset and what a treat that was. The views of Cape Town from the top are SPECTACULAR! The descent was a little harder for one of us, but again, with Rob's guidance we completed the entire hike in around 3.5 hours, felt safe the entire time and even had night lights when it got dark. This activity was worth the challenge and something everybody should try if they are physically able. Hopefully you have a guide as cool and knowledgeable as Rob!

The guided hike up Lion's Peak with Stuart was excellent. Not only did we get to enjoy the incredible views, but also learn a huge amount from Stuart about the area and its history. An absolutely fantastic way to see and experience Cape Town.

She was by far one of the most knowledgeable, passionate, and professional about her craft. You can tell she loves the mountains and the region of Cape Town. Honestly such a wonderful experience!

I'm so glad we had a guide, and that Stu (ownder/guide of Wild Things Outdoor) was that guide. Although, you can hike Lion's Head on your own, you would be missing out on SO much. Stu really provided for a full experience, and I'm grateful. Before I'd even booked, Stu was quick and helpful in his communication. Then, when we we arrived at the trailhead, I knew we were in for an great afternoon. He is super friendly, personable, patient, and knowledgeable - from geology, flora/fauna, history, hiking, etc. We were both nerding out over what we were learning from him. He allowed us to set a reasonable pace, was always encouraging/positive, and let us stop to take as many pictures as we wanted. When we got to the summit, we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset. After listening to him share with us, several other hikers remarked how they wished they'd had a guide to make for a more well-rounded experience. On the way down, we encountered a solo woman hiker who was very unprepared for the conditions - improper shoes, not enough water (it was a scorcher), and no light other than her phone (it was dark by then). She was scared. Stu is very safety conscious, and she walked back down part of the way with us until she met up with another group. This was such a memorable experience, in large part because of Stu. I highly recommend you look at booking with Wild Things Outdoor for your South Africa adventures!

Stuart was an incredible guide..you could tell he was extremely passionate about nature, Cape Town, and South African history. He also made two very novice hikers feel very safe throughout the process with his expertise. Couldn’t imagine a better tour guide for this hike and can’t recommend him enough.
