Know More about this tour

Start your day with a pickup from your central Rome hotel or alternatively, you can start your Capri Day Trip From Rome at a meeting point in town located near Rome Termini Station.

After a journey of roughly three hours, arrive in the southern Italian region of Campania and head straight to its capital, Naples. At the port, hop off your coach and board your catamaran or hydrofoil boat for your 45-minute crossing to the island of Capri, the jewel of the Amalfi regions islands.

On arrival at Capris Marina Grande harbor, hop aboard a rowing boat and relax as your guide rows you around the island to see the intriguing Blue Grotto (entry ticket not included in a tour price). Rays entering from an underwater cavity combine with the trickle of light from the caves only entranceway transfer the water with its magical vivid-blue effect.

Return to Marina Grande and travel by coach to the unassuming little village of Anacapri, perched high on the hills overlooking Capri town. Enjoy free time for lunch in a traditional trattoria here, and soak up incredible views of the sun-baked Bay of Naples just across the water.

Head back down the hill and explore Capri Town at leisure, perhaps visiting the elegant Piazetta (Piazza Umberto) or browsing the shops for souvenirs of Capri to take back home. Meet your guide at the pre-arranged time, board your boat and return to your coach at Naples Port.

As you head out of the city, your guide will point out some of Naples star attractions like medieval Castel Nuovo, Certona di San Martino a sprawling monastery complex and the Royal Palace of Naples (Palazzo Reale).

Relax on the journey north back to Rome, and finish your tour near Termini Station. Alternatively, make use of a drop-off at Via veneto, Piazza Barberini, Piazza venezia or Piazza della repubblica; you can simply let your guide know on the day of your tour.

Note: In extreme cases of bad weather, boats to Capri will be canceled. When this happens, you will spend the day exploring Naples and the UNESCO-listed ancient ruins of Pompeii with your guide. No refund will be due.

Lovely trip. If you want to see the Blue Grotto I suggest you visit the island by yourself and reach the island at the crack of dawn . We M
Missed out on the blue grotto due to the high tide. We instead settled for a trip around the island and that was spectacular and so was the chairlift . The lunch however wasn’t that great. Over all a great experience

I enjoyed the trip. Well planned. Guides were good at explaining and very helpful in times of needs. Thank you for the service.

We had a good trip from Rome to Capri. Once there, the guide seemed too busy with other tour groups to the point that before the time for lunch we had to wait for him for almost an hour. When he came and we went for lunch he said there had been a delay in the boat arrival and he had to wait for the incoming group. There was nobody else to cover for him,.

It was a long 3 hour bus ride one way, and when we got there it showed that we had received the boat ride to Blue Grotto; witch ended up being another $18 per person and that wasn't even going in it. Witch we didn't do because the water was so choppy we didn't want to get seasick.
Then the lunch wasn't that great, and you had to pay for drinks, they never offered water so that you would have to pay.
But I will say the sincere view was absolutely gorgeous.

I did the tour on October 5. It was just amazing. The tour, the weather, the landscape- everything was perfect.
I am surprised the tour has so many negative feedbacks and find it unfair, it doesn’t deserve it, so here is my detailed review.
It’s true that the way is quite long (3 hours by bus and 30-40 mins by ferry) but the team did anything possible to make it comfortable and pleasant for us . And the incredible landscape of gorgeous Capri is definitely worth it. We couldn’t see the Blue Grotto due to the sea condition but had a great boat tour around the island instead. Highly recommend to take a chairlift which will make you fly over the island enjoying a breathtaking view. We were given enough of free time, interesting information about the region. The food was good too, well organized and fast, attentive service. I don’t think that the drinks price can be an issue (like other visitors wrote before), it’s just like anywhere else in Italy, more or less. Drop off was well organized too, as much as it’s possible in the Rome traffic.
Everyone- the drivers, the tour leader, the guide on the island, the restaurant stuff- were professional, friendly, attentive and helpful.
This trip was the pearl of my Italian trip, thanks to Greenline team and their partners!

Capri and Anacapri are very beautiful. But the road from the bus to the harbor/ship and back is very difficult for someone with limited mobility. No help, no wheelchair, no golf cart. It was maybe 1km long and very uneven. Thank God for our guide, Ariana, who took care of me, like a babysitter, even holding my hand. I am not sorry that I went on that trip, but will never do it again, nor recommend it. Someone should really understand the difficulty, not just deliver a ticket,

The Greenline guide that met us in Naples, after the bus trip from Rome, was extremely rude and abrupt. He didn't even bother to introduce himself to us, and got very irritated when we dared to ask questions regarding the itinerary for the day. Eventually the day ended in disaster. In Capri, while standing in the town, he told us and another 5 people of the group, to go and get on one of the ferries going to Naples. As there were several ferries, we didn't know which ferry he referred to. We clearly told him that we do not know which ferry he is referring to by merely pointing with his finger. He started to shout at us to "just go". We tried to work it out between the seven of us, but in the chaos of the boarding of the ferries, we boarded the wrong ferry. The guide and the rest of the group boarded another ferry. We only realised this when it was too late - so many people and total chaos on the ferries. Really scary and traumatic because we didn't know whether anyone will be waiting for us in Naples. And it was getting dark. Eventually we did meet up with him and the other tour guide, but there was no apology from him. I have travelled a lot and been on many trips with guides, yet I have never experienced the level of absolute rudeness and "I don't give a damn about the tourists" attitude of this man. He is definitely not fit to be a guide as he has no respect at all for tourists and doesn't do his job with the necessary responsibility. He should be sacked.

This day trip was a return to Capri trip for me. It had been 50 years since my last visit and I was very excited to see this beautiful place again. Needless to say, many things have changed and gotten more commercial. That was to be expected. BUT the difference in tour guides was over the top.
The tour guide from Greenline was adequate at best, even though he seemed to be a nice guy.
The tour guide on Caori, a Mr. Pinto, was awful. He did not seem genuine and his talk was monotone and not interesting. He seemed bored and that being a tour guide was just a job.
Really too bad, since the views are still spectacular.
A long day 6:30 AM pick up and 10 PM drop off.
Suggest that Gtreenline hire better guides who at least seem to enjoy their work.

The title says it all, Capri is beautiful. The tour was relaxing and leisurely tour. The guide was helpful and had a lot of good suggestions.

I definitely see myself returning to Capri for a longer visit

I wish that food was not included so you could choose when to eat and that would give more time for exploring Capri. We had a great trip up until when we where back in Rome. If you are planing to drop people off at their hotels then at least drop off the people who have to go home by themselves first at the bus station. 14 august we went on a trip and on our way back I requested because others was getting the chance to be drop off near by their hotel, if it was possible we could too. I was told that if the bus drove near the hotel they would. The bus drove past it and when I asked I was told they could not stop there. I do understand that. Because before I was able to reach the guide who promised to drop us near by, we where on a road where it was not possible to stop. Wish the guide would have been honest and just told me that she forgot instead she said she had a list to follow. If that really the case then my complain is that why should we sit in a but in over an hour while the bus is driving to 5+6 different hotels and some pretty far away. Why where we, as it seem like it was only us that were not dropped off first at the bus station. The explanation I got from the guide was that they took another route home. I do not really care. Th description clearly says you will be dropped off at the station. So letting us sit in the bus for more than one hour and be almost last one drop off at a taxi stand, was bad planing. If I had not said anything, we would have been sitting in the bus for half an hour more.
