Know More about this tour

Meet your guide just a couple of blocks south of Central Park on West 56th Street for your morning or afternoon bike tour. Select a hybrid bike, appropriate for your skill and experience level, as well as a helmet and map of the park. Then, peddle along at a leisurely pace on both paved roads and unpaved trails as your guide talks about the park's history and its many famous attractions. Your guide broadcasts his narration to group through a speaker, so you won't miss any details.

Admire popular landmarks including ornate Bethesda Fountain, the ancient Egyptian obelisk known as Cleopatra's Needle, the massive green space of the Sheep Meadow, and the lovely Jackie Onassis Reservoir in the northern part of the park. See the tribute to the Beatle John Lennon at Strawberry Fields as well as The Dakota, the New York City apartment building where the singer once lived. Delight in views of Belvedere Castle, smell the flowers in Shakespeare Garden, and ride by the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre where one of the last public marionette companies in the US operates.

Pause for photos and replenish with bottled water (own expense) as you travel 7 miles (11.2 km) through the lush and lively park. Your leisurely 2-hour Central Park bike tour ends back where it began, just south of the park.

  • A great way to see Central Park - would highly recommend

  • Extremely poor!!! We would not recommend this tour to anyone!!!! Look at other options!!!
My partner had gear trouble with her bike and the tour guide rushed off leaving us with no idea where we were in the park after the first stop!! We eventually found our way back to the shop and they were not helpful at all.

  • Our guide was exceptional, so informative. And really funny.

  • A lot of fun and a great way to explore Central Park. We had beautiful weather. Our guide was funny and kept us entertained and all together. We walk but that's the extent of our every day physical activity, and it wasn't too difficult for us. One of my favorite tours, I highly recommend it.

  • Such a great tour. Our guide Garrett was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and personable. The cycling was fun and pretty easy. If we hadn't been on bikes and with a guide, there's no way we would have got to see so much of Central Park

  • Great way to see Central Park! You'll many interesting facts about the park and the city.

  • Good way to see most of the highlights of the park. It was a fun experience to bike around the park.

  • tour guide was great, the trip through Central Park was one of the high lights of our trip to New York City

  • Great place but the guide seemed blissfully unaware of people not within earshot of her. We were good because we kept close but others were not so lucky.

  • Dan was an amazing tour guide. It was so much fun to see Central Park from a bike seat and to learn the history of the Park.
