Know More about this tour

The Island Honey Wine Company opened on July 2017 and offers a variety of Mead made on site; Wildflower Honey, Lavender, Nectar Sweet, Apple Cider and Haskap. It is situated in the scenic rolling hills of Prince Edward Island between Charlottetown and Summerside in the quaint village of Wheatley River. This little piece of certified organic paradise tries to echo the harmony found in nature. A small herd of sheep mow the grasses and bring fertility to the living soils of the orchards. A free ranging flock of colourful ducks challenge the insects and pests that try to enjoy the fruits of farm labour. A friendly Great Pyrenees dog named Abby welcomes visitors as long as they have two legs, not four. She protects the livestock from coyotes and foxes. There are also several thousand honey bees that make this place their home and they are responsible for fruit pollination and honey production.
Riverdale Orchard. Anne and Alex Jamieson decided to turn a Cidery hobby into a business and make Cider. Cider is an alcoholic drink made from fermented apple juice, commonly known as Hard Apple Cider in Canada. After more than 3 years they had their first batch of artisan crafted cider, Summer 2018. While waiting for the apple trees to grow they used this time wisely and honed their craft from professionals. Attending Cornell University and achieving NACM certification (National Association on of Cider Makers) was the start of their artisan craft making adventure. By going back to the Three Counties, an area in England, UK, renowned for Cider Making, they worked with award winning artisan craft cider makers Anne & Alex enhanced their knowledge and skills further.
Matos Winery & Vineyards is a family-owned and family-run PEI Vineyard. In 2007, after spending much time researching the growing conditions and suitability of establishing a vineyard in PEI, Jim Matos and his family purchased a 50-acre parcel of land in St. Catherines. They applied the French concept of terroir finding a place where the combination of soil, slope, sun exposure and the peculiar weather vagaries allow certain grape varieties to unfold their unique characteristics. To this end, they consulted with the finest European vintners who visited PEI to provide their expertise.
s we come over the Canoe Cove road hilltop, we are greeted with an astounding view of the Northumberland Strait. Honeydew Apiaries is only 2 minutes away.An apiary is a bee yard, and this one has over 200 beehives. Here on the island Canoe Cove Honey produces a wide variety of items, from church candles, candles, skin cream and lip balm and of course, jars of honey. Canoe Cove Honey offers Beehive Tours. You will receive a Bee Suit and your two-hour hands-on tour begins!
