Know More about this tour

The town's fairytale red-roofed castle is surrounded by landscaped gardens, and features grand courtyards, halls and furnishings. The castle's development over the 14th to 19th centuries has been well preserved, both in layout and architectural detail. The mighty castle complex stands on a rock promontory sculpted by the Vltava River, dominating the attractive medieval town below.

Together with the magnificent Church of St. Vitus, the castle is a unique feature of the entire region. The town of Cesky Krumlov is situated in a valley surrounded by the Blansko Forest to the north and the undulating foothills of Sumava to the south and west.

  • The perfect day trip out of Prag. Tour guide was a hot spring of informations on history, country and Cesky Krumlov.

  • Great trip value for your money. Postcard scene everywhere.

  • Amazing trip

  • Cesky Krumlov is like a fairy tale land. It is so beautiful there! The tour was very rush since we had to travel about 5 hours roundtrip from Prague. I would recommend staying for the night. We barely had enough time to get through the castle tour and had lunch by the river. We did not have time to visit the St. Vitus Cathedral or the marionette museum there, let alone the many cute shops there. Lunch by the river was so romantic and relaxing. It was a lovely experience. I recommended visiting Cesky Krumlov to every one of my friends.

  • Definitely recommend taking this day trip. We had four days in Prague so this worked out excellently for us. Our guide was phenomenal. From the moment we got on the bus and throughout the three hour driver she pointed out interesting sites and gave background historical information. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer. The three hour drive flew by fast, even on the return. The Town itself was fascinating taking you way back in history. You felt like the movies coming alive as you walked around the town and particularly in the Castle.

  • Absolutely amazing. This is one trip you must make.

  • So so. Krumlov itself is gorgeous and well worth seeing. Not sure if this tour is the best way though. Took too long to get there and we didn't have a lot of time to see the the town. The castle tour was great, had an amazing guide. Our regular guide was too hard to understand.

  • Our tour guide Irena sp? spoke very poor English. Her tortured pronunciation and monotone recitation of the facts meant that we understood next to nothing during the long drive to Cesky Krumlov. I really tried to listen and understand because I'm fascinated by the history of places but she made very little sense. We were walked into town with a single photo opportunity from a viewpoint into the town square. There we were given time to ourselves until the castle tour at 15:15. However there is no information provided regarding the town's layout, what there is to see or do and no recommendations at all. So it was hard to navigate this time alone effectively and this would be easily solved with a single page handout with a map and some highlights. The town is lovely and feels like a little fairytale village but it is extremely commercialised and every single entrance along the route is a restaurant or shop with owners trying to convince you to buy something. We visited the tower and museum in our own time and that was very interesting. The visit to the Castle with a local tour guide was interesting indeed but be warned that the groups are very large and the rooms get very crowded and stuffy. Overall a good trip because Cesky Krumlov is so pretty.

  • Beautiful town.

  • Cesky Krumlov was another amazing trip. The views from the castle, the surrounding areas, and the church are very memorable. After seeing this amazing site one can understand why this is an Unesco listed site.sure glad we booked this tour. Will go back if I ever have the chance.
