Alejandro provided a great experience for my friends and I on this long afternoon/late evening adventure. He provided a lot of details that you may not receive elsewhere in Puerto Escondido. I highly recommend doing this tour.

This tour was amazing! Alejandro treated us like family, and it was a pleasure to hear his explanation of the history of black people in Mexico, and particularly in the state of Oaxaca. We had so much fun and Alejandro made sure everything was taken care of. It was also very clear that Alejandro loved his community and wanted to make sure it stays protected. The food at Chacahua was incredible! The cooks really outdid themselves. Also, the people working there were so sweet, and some of the lil kids hung out with us and asked us sooo many questions. It was so sweet! Swimming in the lagoons with the bioluminescence was spectacular! What an amazing thing to experience! It was also amazing hearing the science of the plankton too! So thankful we chose this trip and that Alejandro was our guide!

We did this trip in February, and it was truly one of the best things we did in 5 weeks of being in Mexico! A fantastic day, finishing with a stunning sunset whilst we were on the boat. Would highly recommend!

Simply one of my best experiences in México: I was blessed to be on this tour with Alejandro Valdivia: Best Tour Guide ever! He was not only passionate about his job, but also so funny and cultured, it was the cherry on the cake to an amazing nature-filled tour in the mangroves and the beach of Chacahua. His Afro-Mexican background qualifies Alejandro to explain the story of Mexico from his own point of view. It was amazing to learn all the facts explained with so much passion and detail on the way to Chacahua. Once at the Laguna, we got on a boat to sail through the amazing mangroves. We learned about the wildlife and the challenges this unique habitat faces nowadays due to climate change. This tour respects wildlife and does not disturb the animal habitat. In the afternoon, we went to the Chacahua beach, the owners at the only restaurant there were so kind and they offered us some appetizers, before we left to the other side of the beach to see a magnificent sunset. At night we eat freshly catched fish, one of the best meals I had in Mexico, I particularly loved the fish "a la talla". On the way back, we stop to see the bioluminiscent plancton. Swimming on the Laguna at night under an amazing sky and seeing your body glow was another unique and amazing experience. Thanks Alejandro for this amazing day, and also cheers to all the group of female writers and italian journalists that took part on the tour, you also made this day very special!

We had an amazing tour of the Lagoons of Chacahua which included a beautiful beach, dinner in a local village on the beach and bioluminescence as our boat took us through the moonlight back home. Our guide Alejandro was so knowledgeable about local history and such an excellent host that we booked another excursion with him two days later. We got off the tourist path and experienced the real Mexico and were well taken care of in the meantime.

As a tour company promoting guided Mexico exploration tours, we network with Alex and his staff of guides when we have guests who want to visit Oaxaca's Pacific coast. Recently, Alex personally hosted a private multi-day tour for some of our travels guests from the US. After the 8 day tour, one of our guests wrote us to say that he was a such a great guide, she and her husband wanted to "steal him away" to work for them as a guide at a tourism company they operate in the US. Now THAT'S a great compliment to his professionalism, guiding skills, and fun personality! Thanks Alex for always making our travel guests feel most welcome in Oaxaca. Estamos en contacto.
