You will  get close-up views of the Holy City's most famous and charming sights such as  Fort Sumter: One of Charleston's most popular landmarks, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired, USS Yorktown: the famous World War II “Fighting Lady," Confederate and Union army Forts Moultrie and JohnsonSt. Michael’s Episcopal Church: A surviver of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, whose steeple was painted black so as not to be an easy target, Stately homes on the Battery: Symbols of Southern elegance and perseverance.

You will also see the Cooper River Bridges, including the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge: A state of the art span that accommodates the largest ships in the world and connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. • This is not the tour you want if you actually want to go to Fort Sumter - you go near it but nothing beats the experience offered by the Fort Sumter National Monument ferry ride to the monument and standing on the actual fort. Don't take this one.

  • The Harbor Tour of Charleston was very informative, especially if this is your first trip there. The boat was comfortable and clean and had a snack bar for your convenience. It was easy to book thru Viator. A lot of history to take in and if you are lucky sharks and dolphins which we got to see.

  • Fantastic tour !

  • I enjoyed the boat ride, wish we could have stopped at Fort Sumter or someplace else. Nice views!

  • It was nice to be out on the water on a hot day, but from previous reviews I had read I expected more information that I got during the tour.

  • The ride was smooth and the narrator/captain did an amazing job and so did his crew.

  • My wife and I greatly enjoyed this trip. Nice craft and refreshment, and a great crew. Well worth it.

  • Very fun tour. The captain is also the narrator. He is very knowledgeable about the history, has a fun sense of humor and likes to throw in some trivia games on history to engage his customers.

  • Really enjoyed the tour! So much history was shared captain was knowledgeable and informative. So glad lower deck was air conditioned. Only problem was some of the windows were 'fogged' from harbor mist, making photos more difficult. If you want to get good photos, stay on upper, open air deck, but if you need air conditioning and lower humidity, choose the lower deck. Trip was well worth the money. Also recommend you take tour during the early part of your trip, as it may help you decide which places to visit later on.

  • Excellent trip. I went with 7 grandchildren who loved the ship and crew.
