This experience made us feel as if we were in a different country or Era. Excellent guide with wonderful tidbits of history. I've already recommended this tour to my family back home! Great way to explore a new city and spend an afternoon. Even my teenagers appreciated it. Captain Jim was wonderful and full of knowledge. This is a MUST for anyone visiting Charleston.

Our guide Jim was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and interesting without being pedantic. Gave us tons of info and showed us all kinds of fascinating things about Charleston that a first time visitor wouldn’t have a clue about. We loved his passion for history and botany! Highly recommend!!!!!

Jim was an amazing tour guide! The walking tour has been our favorite part of our trip to Charleston as we were able to see many landmarks and learn the history behind them!

A great way to see the lanes, gardens and houses of old Charleston. Jim was informative and knowledgeable. We walked for 2 1/2 hours with Jim, who explainined the architecture and historical influences that made Charleston the city it is today.

Charleston is a lovely city at every turn. This off the beaten path tour of the hidden alleyways was delightful. There is so much to learn about the city on a more intimate level.

Our guide, Steve, was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed his stories and information. We would take another walking tour with him again.

  • 15-Nov-2022

I liked that there was some good stories along the way, and Capt. Jim knew the area very well with old history and some more recent history. We followed his suggestion to check out the basement bar at Le Banque, and it was superb! The French Fashion cocktail and the beet salad were delicious, and the atmosphere was fun.

I really enjoyed learning the history of Charleston and it’s the oldest and number one city to visit. Captain Jim knowledge of the city was amazing he knew everything from the flowers , thru the alleys and the buildings. I recommend this tour as he’s the one created this walking tour and loves his city 💕💕
