Throughout this morning gourmet tour, you will discover the charming district of Chartrons. Located at a small distance to the north of Bordeaux's historic centre, this area used to be the wine merchants quarter.

Explore its quirky antique shops, vintage boutiques and local trendy food stores. Once the old heart of the wine trade, well explain exactly how Bordeaux became the wine capital of both the ancient and modern world! This tour includes a brief stop at an organic local bakery, followed by local pastries sampling in a nearby caf whilst enjoying a coffee.

Afterwards, the tour continues nearby in a humble but exquisite food market. You will meet the local vendors and learn their history, try local foods and specialties such as cheese and cured meat products, all locally made and sourced. Explore the diversity of the French terroir  with one of our local Bordeaux guides, and learn everything you need to know about the Bordeaux lifestyle!


9:20 AM: Meet your guide in front of the Bordeaux Tourist Office. 

10:00 AM: Bakery stop and pastries tasting accompanied with organic local coffee degustation. 

10:30 AM: Cheese tasting with a local vendor. Learn about our signature cheese as you eat them! 

11:15 AM: Mini market tour and food tasting on the central Chartrons Square. Discover more about the variety of South West gastronomy Let your guide serve you a glass of wine to complete this unique experience.
