This food tour was the highlight of our week in PV. We would highly recommend it. The quality and variety of dishes, the friendliness of restaurant owners and servers, and most of of all the expertise of our guide, Alvaro, made this an unforgettable experience. We took a cab to the meeting place - the first restaurant on the tour, El Panorama - in the afternoon, in order to find its location and from there stroll through PV before returning to the restaurant. It was high up, many streets above the Malecon, which made our return back a long, hot climb. We would recommend taking a cab directly there. From this point on, the next restaurants are "down" or laterally located; the terrain is bumpy and uneven so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Only the 2 of us had booked this tour. We were thankful it wasn't cancelled and appreciated the individualized attention. Three of the four restaurants provided 3 separate dishes while the fourth, a tapas restaurant plated all 3 together, very artistically we might add! There was ample food, so much so that by the last restaurant, we could only taste and not finish each plate. Listen to your guide when he advises to go easy on the bread and starch so you have room to savour each offering. They were all delicious. An unexpected bonus was the music in the first 3 locations - a talented guitarist and vocalist, a young clarinetist who produced a liquid, alluring sound, and an amazing harpist who serenaded using a traditional Mexican harp, a beautiful instrument we had never seen before. The sights, the sounds, the smells, and tastes of this tour were only topped by listening to our guide. Alvaro was an amazing gentleman, well versed in the history of PV and Mexico and knowledgeable about the dishes, ingredients and legacy of the restaurants. He is a consummate professional who has a warm, easy manner and is well-spoken. Dining with him was like dining with a friend. We asked many questions, which he graciously answered, and discussed a wide variety of topics during the evening. This was a delightful way to learn more about PV as well as to try four restaurants that we most likely would not have found on our own. Kudos to Alvaro, Chef's Pass and all four restaurants for a wonderful evening. We look forward to returning and sampling more of their fares.

A great night with a great host - Alvara Madrigal. Four different restaurants, for different and great menu's. Loved it and highly recommend it to any and all. It was so yummy, we went back a few days later to one of the restaurants for our last evening meal, before we headed home

Lots of good food and amazing restaurants, ones we probably wouldn't have otherwise known about. There were only two of us on the tour so it was nice that they didn't cancel it.

This was a fun evening. Our guide was excellent and the restaurants they have chosen outstanding. When you read over and over about being so full....believe the reviews! Delicious food and so full at the end of the tour. Worth going on.

What a fantastic tour. We found ourselves in four of the finest restaurants in the country, places we probably wouldnt have found otherwise. We were very fortunate to have been guided by Alvaro Madrigal, who in addition to hosting us provided expert background on regional history and cuisine. Alvaro was obviously well known by chefs and owners in the city, who joined us and gave background to each of theiir exceptional dishes. This was a tremendous foodie experience.

This was a fantastic tour!! The food selection was incredible!! It was a small group of us which made it feel very intimate! Our guide was very knowledgeable in all things Puerto Vallarta and was very energetic and fun to be with! The large variety of food was all fantastic!! There was so much food I thought I would have to be carried out of the last restaurant, but it tasted so good I couldn't stop eating!! There is some stair walking required. It helped move the food down I think

Although, Our tour guide had some family issues to take care of and wasn't able to make it. I give him this high rating because we went to the meet up restaurantEL panorama the customer service we received was one of a kind. The view was out of this world. I am a chef and i have never seen such service here in United States. My mom loved it and she will not stop talking about eating there. I am almost positive the tour guide had everything to do with this experience and for that i would like to thank you. They were so attentive, attention to detail was high. I would recommend this tour 1000 times. Next time i am in town i will definitely book with this company. Thank you from me and my mom.
