A interesting day trip from Kiev. Offers you the chance to get away from the metropolis and take a step back in time. On the way we visited Kozelets and the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, which was outstanding. At Chernihiv, the museum of history of Chernihiv, the Cathedrals and Caves of Antonio were especially interesting. Our driver Alex spoke good English and was very helpful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and delightful company. Our guide Margarita in Chernihiv, was a sea of knowledge, being a historian herself. She was patient and allowed us to take our time at every place we visited. All in all, a day well spent and recommended for those interested in historic towns and monuments.

The tour was exactly as promised. The driver and local guide were very knowledgeable and told interesting stories about the sights we saw. The churches were beautiful and definitely showcase Ukrainian styles of architecture that enhance the impression one gets from visiting churches of the same eras in Kiev. The catacombs tour also enriched the experience. On the way to Chernigov, we stopped to see a Ukrainian baroque church in Kozelets with a remarkable and unique iconostasis. The driver also kindly accommodated my request to stop at Bykivnia to see the memorial to 1930s NKVD mass shootings there. I would return to Chernigov on future trips to Ukraine and highly recommend Argotour to anyone who wants a convenient and well-organized trip to Chernigov.

This was a fantastic tour. The driver was so knowledgable and it was a pleasure spending a few hours on the road discussing Ukrainian history. We stopped along the way at a few sites of interest. The tour guide in Chernigiv was very interesting and her passion for the country and the area was clear. I would highly recommend this trip to a beautiful area with a rich history.
