It was a very very long day. But you do get to see a lot. We decided not to swim at the cenote cause we were just exhausted and had already been to another. The guides are knowledgeable and they split you into an English and Spanish speaking groups. Coba was amazing was not crowded at all when we got there so you really got to enjoy it. They were a bit late picking us up but that was okay. Make sure to pack some extra snacks and waters cause depending on the time of year it’s ultra hot especially at chichen itza.

Great! It is worth it to have a guide to explain the history and architecture of the Mayan culture. It was a long day but we were able to see a lot. We were also glad to not be driving ourselves

Absolutely amazing Tour. Each destination is a must see and seeing them individual would’ve cost us much more and taken a few days. Our tour guide was also extremely fun and knowledgeable about each location. We are extremely happy to have gotten Tonantzin as our guide

Everything was as expected and your guide (Gabriel) and driver (Rudy) were very friendly and accommodating. Gabriel was very knowledgeable and flexible to our groups needs

I am so glad I found this tour, I was looking at the big bus tours and almost went with that. This is a smaller group experience, and you are in a van rather than a bus. Our tour had 8 people, which made it allot more personal. They get you to your destinations early, and you stay ahead of the big tour buses. Our driver was Rudy, who picked us up all the way in Cancun and took us down to Playa Del Carmen to pick up the rest of our group. Our tour guide was Gabrièl, who was awesome. He was very informative, enthusiastic about Mayan history, and really made the tour fantastic. He went out of his way to get us the perfect photos, and tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible. We went in August, which is one of the hottest months, and be prepared, it is very hot. The tour van is air conditioned and very comfortable however. I do recommend trying to have some sort of breakfast beforehand, as there were just cookies and bananas available for breakfast. First the tour goes to Chichen Itza, and we got there a few minutes after opening. We were there about 2-3 hours, and were ready to go by the time we had to leave. Then we went to the Ik Kil cenote, swam and had lunch at the buffet there. The lunch buffet was not good at all unfortunately, so didn’t eat much. Afterwards was Coba, where we walked to the ruins, and explored a bit on our way there and back. Be prepared for a long day, but you get to see two ruins, swim in a cenote, and have an awesome experience with the guides.

This excursion was great. When we got to Chichen Itza prior to the rest of the crowds the early hotel pick up time of 6 am made it worthwhile. Be prepared for a lot of walking and to be hot although the guides tried to stop in the shade as much as possible. There was little time to browse the vendors which was fine with us. The cenote swim was quite refreshing and again we felt ahead of the crowds. The Coba Ruins were almost as impressive as Chichen Itza but a lot of walking at the end of the day. We were given the option of walking, renting bikes, or the bike taxi and did not realize that it was a group decision. We ended up walking but some may want to opt for the bike taxi. Our guide was great although a bit hard to understand, still he had amazing knowledge. The van was comfortable and the guides made sure we had plenty of cold water and snacks.

Francisco and Herardo were the perfect driver and guide duo to lead this trip. Though the sun baked down on us - hats are advisable - Herardo's knowledge and passion for the sites we visited shone more brightly upon our small group. It was truly more than the insta photo and an experience I'll remember for a long time!

We chose this option as it was a small group, we were not disappointed, in our opinion it’s worth paying for that extra personal touch. Our guide Angel was attentive, informative & a general nice chap. We arrived at all the sites around an hour earlier than the masses, which meant our experience was quieter & more serene. The lunch at Ik Kil Cenote was a nice buffet & had good options for vegetarians as well as plenty of meat options. If you enjoy the Mayan ruins, choose this trip, as it is one of the few that also visit Coba. We thought Coba gave us a better sense of the original town structure of their ancient civilisation, with the addition of the jungle & incomplete reconstruction adding a whole new perspective, allowing for your own imagination. I would recommend this trip.

This was a very fun excursion! Just be aware it can be veryyy long. We got picked up from playa del Carmen, making us the first pickup couple. I selected 6:30am pickup time (which surprised me at first) but was contacted via WhatsApp the day before that we’d actually be picked up at 5:30am! It is normal for them to ask for your room number, it is a security thing that allows them to enter resorts. I strongly recommend using WhatsApp internationally. The breakfast was bananas, cookies, and mango juice. We stopped at 5 other resorts/hotels for pickups which made pickup time about 2 hours of riding by itself. Chichen Itza was about another 2 hours away (drove through a time zone pushing time back an hour). Our tour guides (1 for English and 1 for Spanish) were awesome. We skipped all the admission lines because the tour guides bought our tickets. Got there early (9:30 I think) and beat a lot of the crowd. Please cover your shoulders and wear sneakers to the excursion, we got really bad sunburn and rash at Chichen Itza (went on July). The cenote was beautiful. Lockers and life vests provided the water was cold and it rained pretty hard on us. The included food was good too. I think you can do without the last stop to Coba simply to avoid such a long day. We didn’t return until about 7:30pm (the last drop offs). But if you don’t mind a full day of walking, this is a great option!
