Your guide will collect you from your downtown Guangzhou hotel at 9am for the half-hour drive to Chimelong Water Park, one of the most popular water parks in the world.

Designed by two famous Canadian firms, WhiteWater and Forrec, Chimelong covers an impressive 450 acres (182 hectares). The theme is tropical, with jungle clambering around stone structures that recall a lost civilization, while plenty of glazed areas mean it's usable year-round.

Thrill to dramatic rides like the huge family Boomerango, or chill on the Lazy River. Splash in artificial waterfalls and whizz down tube slides through lush foliage, or enjoy a peaceful time in the children's area. Small wonder that Chimelong often ranks among the best water parks in the world, and can attract as many as 50,000 visitors in a day.

A range of snacks and drinks are available on site. You'll spend around seven hours there, accompanied by your own private guide, before heading back to your hotel, arriving around 6pm.
