Know More about this tour

After the pick-up we will start the tour from Copacabana Beach, one of the most famous beach in the world.
Botafogo is a beachfront neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro. It is a mostly upper middle class and small commerce community, and is located between the hills of Mundo Novo, Dona Marta (which separates it from Laranjeiras) and So Joo (which separates it from Copacabana).
The official residence of the State Governor
The Tijuca Forest (Portuguese: Floresta da Tijuca) is a tropical rainforest in the city of Rio de Janeiro covering an area of roughly 32 km (12.4 mi). The tour will reach Tijuca Forest with a stop at Paineiras to board the official vehicles of the National Park Authority to be able to reach the top of the Corcovado Hill where The Christ The Redeemer Statue is located.
From the top of Corcovado Hill you will be able to admire The Christ of the Redeemer statue, which has 38m in height and was made of reinforced concrete clad in a mosaic of thousands of triangular soapstone tiles, and also will have a chance to see some of the most beautiful views of the city.
Only in case of poor visibility on the summit of the Corcovado, we will make an alternative stop at Mirante Dona Marta which offers one of the most incredible views of the city, guaranteeing the title of one of the most visited tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro. From there, you can see the Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Cristo Redentor, the Maracan, the Guanabara Bay and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
The Largo do Boticrio (Apothecary's Square) is a square in the Cosme Velho neighbourhood of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The area is characterised by large, neo-colonial houses and Atlantic Forest vegetation.
We will travel to the top in two steps by cable car. The first will take you to Urca Hill, at the height of 220 meters above sea level where you already will have great views from Baia de Guanabara. From there, after enjoying the views for a bit, will take the second cable car all the way to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, 396 meters above sea level. From up there, you will have a chance to see the most breathtaking views of Rio de Janeiro and will definitely understand why everyone says that Rio is The wonderful city
Ipanema is a neighborhood located in the South Zone, between Leblon and Arpoador. The beach at Ipanema became known internationally with the popularity of the bossa nova jazz song, "The Girl from Ipanema" ("Garota de Ipanema"), written by Antnio Carlos Jobim and Vincius de Moraes.
Separated from its more famous neighbour, Ipanema, by a narrow canal, Leblon is one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in Rio, and accommodation here comes at a price.

Did the half day tour of Christ the Redeemer and sugar loaf mountain. Monica was an excellent guide - convenient hotel pickup, informative, good English, and every thing was well timed to beat the late morning crowds. She even accommodated me to add sugar loaf mid-trip. Recommend when you come to Rio!

Wow. An amazing trip! The tour guide was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable and helped us with other aspects of the holiday too. The views and experience were breathtaking.

Just enough! Not too long or too short. The guide was excellent! She gave enough explanation and enough time to do things on your own. I generally prefer to tour in my own. This was a great alternative for me given the safety risks everyone warned about for a solo traveler. Pick up and drop off we’re smooth. Reliable. Professional. Well organized.

Such a great experience made even better by our outstanding guide, Kiko. He was an expert of both the logistics of seeing these sights and also local history. We learned so much and saw all the beauty of Rio. The early pick up allowed us to avoid the crowds. Highly, highly recommend!

Amazing day with Vinzenco, he is so knowledgeable and energetic guide. What started off as a half day tour, ended up with us extending to the whole full day with him, visiting all the other sites in Rio. Totally recommend and big thanks to vinzenco! 🙏🏼

Booked a week early for a half day tour in Rio to Christ The Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. ( No discount for elderly unless you go on your own!) All communications prior to our tour were good, informative and easy to understand. It included collection and drop off from our hotel. Their website had good information for all tours, hence my reason for booking the tour. Annie was our friendly guide for 10 people and had to speak Portuguese, English and Spanish We started off late as our she was nearly 20 minutes late joining the mini bus, so collection meant some waited an extra 20 minutes Our driver was careful and very safe throughout. especially along the steep uphill winding roads. My only criticism was that Annie our guide was did not provide us with much historical information about Sugarloaf or Christ the Redeemer, it was more friendly general chit chat and some information about the buildings we passed on our way there. Having completed the tour we were back at our hotel around 1:30pm. I would most definitely recommend and suggest that a guided tour is the best and only way to visit the Rio attractions. The advantage is that the guide knows how to effectively get you to the attractions and through the lines without delays. If we’d been on our own it would have taken much much longer.

A well organised and informative tour, with tour guide Meilin. The tour consisted of a small group and Meilin provided interesting commentary throughout the tour. We would highly recommend this tour.

I enjoyed this tour. I did the full day tour and it was exhausting. The only thing I did not like about the half-day tour was the van ride all the way up the mountains. I did the train ride with the full day tour and preferred the train ride to Christ Redeemer. The van ride up the mountain was too rough on me as a person with back issues. The tour guide was amazing and did his best to make sure I was comfortable.
