Through Viator, I booked the gondola and punting experience, and having never been to ChristChurch before, I interpreted this as meaning both activities were at the same location. Unfortunately, this was not true. Individually, the two activities were both a lot of fun. The punt ride was relaxing and blankets were provided against the morning chill. The views from the gondola were amazing and the ride was smooth with no lines.

It was great saw all mountain and the lovely view, the staff wear help full on our RV joinery-in giving us places to see and best roads to travel, and then fog came in

Don’t go when it’s cloudy or overcast, cos you won’t get a view at all. But still enjoyed it overall as there was still the discovery ride, which gave a good introduction to the history of NZ. Good for kids too!

The trip on the gondola was fabulous. The centre at the top was beautiful and well laid out. After a rather windy walk outside to view the scenery and excellent descriptors we enjoyed a great coffee bare heading to the ride downstairs. Great information presented really well. M grumpy partner loved it! The trip backdown the mountain was vey windy. Such fun. Great experience. Well worth it!

We had an exciting afternoon at the Mt Cavandish reserve, despite the gale force like wind up there. The staff at the place was so friendly and approachable.

Sunny day so fantastic views from the top. Gondola ride is great with no waiting in lines. I gather because April is out of tourist season. Food at cafe was good quality as we had lunch there. Many opportunity for great pictures. Just a great experience overall. Well worth it.

We bought the 3 activity Christchurch pass online from Christchurch attractions for $90 per person. This gave us access to the gondola, the Tram, and the 30 minute river punting experience. The great thing about the pass is that not all activities need to be done on the same day, so we did the gondola and punt on a beautiful sunny day, and saved the tram for a closer, rainy day. All 3 things combined, provided an excellent overview of Christchurch, the old and the reborn city. Highly recommend
