Your guide will pick you up from your lodging in Reno, Nevada beginning at 8:00 AM. Exact pickup time for your location will be confirmed the night before.
The Circle Lake Tahoe Tour will begin in Reno. On the drive, you guide will share history, facts, important sights, and tell stories along the way. The Emerald Bay stop is a popular place to take photos. Tales from the past include Frank Sinatras hotel, illegal poker games, private mansions with tigers and underground caves, fake gold rushes, deceitful caretakers, to current day politics with 5 counties and 2 states sharing the lake and its shores. Included is a gourmet picnic lunch on the beach in Tahoe City. Here guests have an opportunity to also shop, rent a kayak, or paddleboard. The Circle Lake Tahoe Tour also makes a stop at the entrance of Squaw Valley, home to the 1960 Winter Olympics. History will be shared about the many near misses and wins that occurred during the Winter Games. After the tour, Tahoe Scenic Tours will transport your group back to Reno, arriving at your lodging by 4:00 PM.
Tahoe Scenic Tours offers an 8 person van, where each passenger will be able to enjoy a window seat in a captains chair. The offered 8 person tours encourage a more intimate experience for our guests, allowing for personalized stops along the way, as well as the opportunity to ask questions in a comfortable, small setting.
Expect delays from summer road construction and traffic.
Please bring plenty of water, a camera, jacket, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. If you plan on participating in lake activities, please also bring a swimsuit/water clothes, towel, and a warm jacket as the lake is cold.
The price does not include extra food or drinks, activities, or driver gratuity. The gourmet picnic including a sandwich, chips and soft drink are included in the price.
