Know More about this tour

You will be picked up in front of your hotel by a 15-passenger van. Please be ready outside as the the driver will arrive within 5 to 15 minutes of your scheduled time. The tour aims to be as personable and pleasurable as possible so there is usually only eight to 10 people in the van. This tour will always run, rain or shine, no matter the number of people that booked the tour. Traveling via the tour van allows you to be able to see so much more of the city since many other larger vehicles are not allowed to go deep into the French quarter, the 9th Ward, or the Garden District. Operating with smaller groups and smaller vehicles allows for more interaction. The environment here will allow you to sit back, relax, and feel comfortable. Please ask as many questions as you want.

Some of the places you'll see include French quarter, Frenchmen street, Marigny Neighborhood, 9th Ward, Musician's Village, Treme Neighborhood, Esplanade Avenue, Bayou saint john, City Park, Lake pontchartrain, 17th Street Canal, Historic Above Ground Cemetery, Carrollton Avenue, Oldest Streetcar in the World, Saint Charles Avenue, Tulane and Loyola Universities, Garden District, Famous Homes, Magazine street, National WWII Museum, and the Warehouse and Arts District. The tour concludes as you enter the Central Business District.

If you would prefer to be dropped off somewhere in the French Quarter, you can request to do so. Otherwise, you will be brought back to your hotel.

Whether you've visited New Orleans before but never ventured far from the French Quarter, or this is your first time there, this tour is for you. While I usually like a walking tour, this van tour was excellent. We covered a lot of ground which you can't walking, and got into places that you can't in a big bus. We got to see the how different neighborhoods are are recovering differently from Katrina, and where they are shoring up the canals and levees. Also got a nice view of Lake Pontchartrain, drove through City Park and a cemetery. Our guide Oz was very knowledgeable on all things NOLA, and was happy to answer any questions we had. One couple we were with had visited New Orleans many times, but still learned some new things on this tour. Highly recommend.

We had an awesome experience during our tour of New Orleans. We were a party of 3 and were picked up on time outside our hotel. There was a total of 8 people in the tour so a nice small group and we were in a comfortable van. It was nice to have cold air conditioning on a hot August day too! Our tour guide (I think his name was Ozzie) was very knowledgeable and passionate about New Orleans history as he was born and raised there. He shared personal stories about growing up here and going thru Katrina. We saw so many sights I can’t even name them. Stopping for beignets at City Park was appreciated as we were wanting to try Cafe du Monde and see the sculpture garden. All in all a great experience. We would highly recommend.

This tour was very informative. Teddy was an excellent guide and shared so much interesting information. Despite constant interruptions from one of the guests in our group, Teddy was able to stay on track and provide a wealth of information about the great city of New Orleans. I highly recommend this tour.

Very informative tour. Learned a lot about New Orleans and the damage done by Katrina. My family was happy with the information provided.

In short, the best tour and tour guide we've encountered in years. From the Ninth Ward to The Garden District and many places in between, our driver/guide Wanda efficiently navigated rainy day metro traffic while never deviating from her flawless and extremely informative narration. The intimacy of an eight passenger van only added to our enjoyment. If you only take one guided tour in NOLA, make it this one. You won't regret your decision.

Enjoyed seeing some unique parts of New Orleans that we had not seen before. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting facts and information. Especially enjoyed seeing and hearing about the Katrina recovery. Unfortunately, the van we rode in was not comfortable for the tour. All of us on the tour thought it was a mini bus van for 15 people but it was a cargo van which was difficult to get in and out of and did not have the longer windows which makes it much easier to see various points of interest. Wish the transportation had been different. We greatly appreciated being picked up and dropped off at our hotel.
