The Ushuaia City Tours starts at the Touristic Pier. Along Maip Avenue, we will see different points of interest like the Civic Square, where the National Flag was hosted for the first time, the former Police building , the old Government House, the Almacn de Ramos Generales and the Nuestra Seora de la Merced old Church.
Before crossing the Fique road bridge we will see the Monument of Malvinas Islands. From the old Airport, we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the mountain range that surrounds it. We continue through the La Misin neighborhood, and our next point of interest will be Solier neighborhood, which was the first settlement of Italian Immigrants, following to the Andino neighborhood and then to the Las Hayas Hotel viewpoint. From there we will enjoy some beautiful panoramic views of Ushuaia Bay, the Beagle Channel, the Docks and Ushuaia Peninsula, and also of the Industrial neighborhood. In our way down to the city, we will see the Water Treatment Plant and the different local construction styles. The Centennial Walk reminds us of the different groups that originated Ushuaia`s population. Along the city`s main street, San Martin Avenue, we will find the most important shops, historic buildings such as the Old Pioneers House, the new Nuestra Seora de la Merced Church, the Tourism Office, the current Government House, the City Hall, the Ideal Bar and the Post Office. At the end of the street, we have the Admiral Berisso Navy Base and the Old Prison and Recidivist Jail.
